the Council

A group of highly qualified individuals, the Council of Meloria has been in power since 865 PC, which has since been dubbed the first year of the Modern Era by Meloria.   The current Council is made up of 12 individuals, 6 of whom are human and the other 6 of whom represent the major racial minorities of Meloria: gnomes, elves, half-elves, tieflings, and halflings. Each Council member retains their position for life, but may be removed by a majority vote of the guilds following a general vote of the populace to remove the individual.

  Roman Waker: human man, Chair of the Council   Caren Hone: human man   Klaus Thamart: human man   Lyne Leighey: human woman, Vice Chair   Abell Mason: human man   Asher Chaucer: human woman   Verily Windmaker: halfling woman   Chalice Mill: tiefling woman, only registered spellcaster on the Council   Iriel Rychis: elf woman   Alys Mont: half-elf woman   Virtue Tailor: tiefling woman, youngest member of the Council, replaced Gauwyn Hardless   Anser Wolfsmith: halfling man, replaced Martin Kathon    

Former members:

  Klemens Daywood: human man, died in Earthquake of 1015.   Goodsmith: human woman, former Chair, died of old age 28 Likki 1009.   Terrence Lift: human man, former Chair, is currently in coma following the Earthquake of 1015.   Gauwyn Hardless: human man, was assassinated in office 30 Sune 1016.   Martin Kathon: human man, was assassinated in office 30 Sune 1016.   Bilcorin Warrug Enimorn Oruben: gnome man, went missing after the Earthquake of 1015 and has not been seen since.

To rule the city of Meloria in as just a way as possible, implementing laws, restrictions, etc. for the good of the people.

Assets

The Council owns the majority of the city (the rest is mostly owned by non-Council politicians). They also hold the final say on the allocation of the city's resources, including food, city coin, buildings, etc.
