Ren Ikusaba is an authoritative, no-nonsense person whose primary goal is to keep the peace and maintain stability in a crazy, superpowered world. While she understands the threat that supervillains and rogue vigilantes pose, she also knows that claiming all superhumans are a potential threat is also dangerous, and she works hard to ensure a balanced system.

Early Life
As Ren Ikusaba is a very private person, little is known about her life before joining BASTION. What is known is that she was born on August 9, 1965 to Musashi and Morgan (nee Grumman) Ikusaba. Her maternal uncle, Harry Grumman, was a government sponsored superhero who operated for the Super Operative Squad under the moniker Avenger. She joined the FBI in her twenties after graduating from UCLA.BASTION
After BASTION was founded in 1992, Ren Ikusaba transferred over from the FBI as a special agent. Over the years, her drive and savvy helped her rise through the ranks until she was made Director in 2012. She spent the next few years overhauling the system to put more emphasis in training superheroes to handle disasters and crises. Her leadership skills were truly put to the test, however, during the Midnight Sun crisis of 2016, during which she coordinated a full-scale strategic retaliation against a rogue superhero and the cosmic horror he unleashed with heroes from around the country.Gender Identity
