Runes

Many runes are commonplace, such as runes of fireball which can be found abundantly in The Land of the Fire Giants and defines what elemental power and the rules of that magic the rune harnesses. There are also runes that are like no other, very rare and well hidden by the Gods. These runes hold unique powers that if used correctly could even be considered cosmic. They are strange symbols etched into any conceivable surface, lending all manner of objects and creatures strange and absurd abilities.
