Poistacean

Beastkin who live close to the sea or even within its darkest depths. They vary from half-mortal/half-crab to "mermaids". They have their own unique culture, and are close allies to the Aqueous, who share a faith with them. The Tides of the deep are humongous, powerful beings that all poistaceans look up to and admire. After the floodbath they conquered and inhabited the drowned regions of the titan. Unfortunately, there was still a disconnect between land and sea, and they were left out of the harmonious festivity of life that happened between the other beastkin. Jealous of this, they became bitter over the years, and have since turned away from the land, choosing to instead explore the vastness of the sea. However, there are still those angry few who continue to raid the world they left behind, hoping to cut out a piece for themselves among the others. Thanks to this hostility, they have come to be known since the early days of Incontinence as an "evil" people that constantly seek to eliminate and conquer the land people.
