Arachnants

Highly Intelligent species of spider-like people with six double jointed arms, fangs and sturdy exoskeletons over their entire body. They mainly live in underground tunnels in the mountains, filling the caverns with their webs to catch unsuspecting animals. They build their homes on the ceilings of the underground tunnels, large, open caverns can have an entire city built of webs hanging from the ceiling.
Arachnants can climb walls and easily stand upright on ceilings due to the sticky/clingy nature of their appendages. They are also capable of carrying things multiple times their own size without any effort.
Arachnants are longtime enemies of the Waspids and developed fighters with poisonous stingers to counteract them. This experimentation while causing great suffering to some of the people, was successful, and Arachnant poison has become some of the most lethal poisons in the known world, however it can also be a powerful reagent in some medicines.
