Elder Lucius Croft (a.k.a. Croft)
Lucius Croft is a member of The Council of Elders in the capital of Erekiath, Aurora.
Being a trained Knight of Rahn with exceptional skills in diplomacy and etiquette, along with a recommendation from Lady Grey a former member of The Council of Elders, he got accepted into the council, with a unanimous vote. This made him one of the youngest council members ever, at the age of 27.
Before Croft joined the council, all citizens of Aurora were allowed into Temple of Light to receive free care for any ailments they may have. The temple even gave out food and clothes to the people that needed it. This started to change after Croft joined the council.
The temple was often low on supplies and had a hard time helping everyone, even with generous donations from both rich and poor alike.
Through political manipulation and blackmail of the other council members, he implemented changes that barred poor people from entering the Central District, which in turn kept them away from the temple.
Not all members of the council agreed to this, but being a minority they had to try other tactics to combat the changes. They started sending servants of the temple into the outer district to help the poor with medical aid and food. The poor believed that the rich were taking over, and that the Temple of Light was turning their backs on them. This resulted in gangs forming that started to rob the servants of the temple.
In an attempt to show that the Temple of Light still cared for the poor some members of The Council of Elders went out to the outer district to distribute food, and provide medical assistance.
One day, when a gang robbed the servants of the temple, one of the elders got killed. This lead to great sorrow in the temple, and after this they stopped sending aid to the outer district. This was exactly what Croft had hoped for. He spent the following years turning the temple into a place of beauty, making it a huge attraction for travelers from far away. Although the temple now stands tall as a beacon of hope and beauty, some people would argue that Croft has led the temple away from the light by abandoning the poor.

He joined Rahn's Academy in his early teens, initially focusing on combat. In order to become a Knight, you must be skilled in both combat, diplomacy, and etiquette. Croft wasn't good at combat, but he had his mind made up that he wanted to become a Knight of Rahn.
After acing both the diplomatic and etiquette parts of the education, he used his skills to befriend the more skilled combatants and learned from them. In his early twenties, his combat skills were finally considered adequate to become a Knight, and soon thereafter he was knighted as a Knight of Rahn.

In his own mind, he sees himself as the savior of Temple of Light in Aurora, as it is now a place of true beauty.
Morality & Philosophy
Lucius Croft is as two-faced as they come. He's a charming individual, and good at making friends. On the other hand, he doesn't care much for most people, he only wants to move up in the world, at all cost. He is cautious however and spent a great deal of energy maintaining his facade, hiding his ties to the criminal organizations, The Black Fist.
