Skullsplitter is the favourite battle axe of Dartos Starbright, founder of the clan Starbright and owner of Blackrock castle.

Significance

This powerful mithril battle axe is a artifact of ancient times, various magicians have tried to fully understand its powers only managing to understand the basics. A powerful enchantment enhances the combat effectivenes of the weapon, furthermore it can occasionally produce a magic bolt that damages the target of the attack.


And in the heat of the fight with the black beast, my lord Dartos found, amidst the treasures, the shaft of a beautiful axe and was called to it. Holding Skullsplitter in his hands, he attacked the beast blasting it with a powerful magic bolt, that killed it on the spot.

It is... Dartos is one of my retired pg, my former master liked epic fights therefore characters needed a bit of a boost to survive...

Yes, (the story is ancient) especially when we moved from 2nd edition AD&D to the, then, brand new third edition D&D boosting incredibly the HPs of my character (from around 90 to 150, if I don't remind wrongly), making the bolt something incredible...
