Genevieve’s Inn

K is sorting her spells, stocking Locate object, dispel magic and healing spirit
Jazen comes down the stairs with lipstick marks on his neck and asks someone to get the door, M still standing by it opens it and two leeches crawl in, one a bit more rotund than the other
Jazen points to B and the larger leech crawls over to him, while the smaller one returns to him and crawls up his leg and under his skin, rejoining his body
Collin throws up Lunae’s toe for B who grabs a rag and picks it up, and puts it in his pocket
M looks to Draekos and says, “Welcome to the party” He replies “Consider me thoroughly welcomed”
Draekos walks up to Jazen, eyes him up lets out a slight “Hmm.” and then walks away
M notices Syyric asleep on the bar and sees he’s wearing a purple tunic and is able to put things together
M sits down beside him and nudges him with her elbow saying, “You know, I had a sneaking suspicion it was you” Syyric looks at her, blinking a couple of times before fully opening his eyes.
M pulls him into a hug, and he hugs her close
Syyric says “I wasn’t sure you were alive, but I thought I’d get your attention” M says “Well, it worked”
Syyric says “I have a lot of things I want to talk to you about, but I think you need to tell me things” M says “Yeah, there's a lot to discuss”
M finds Gen and asks if they can use the private dining room again, she nods and says "I might just have to start closing down the whole establishment. There's just too many of you. But go on.”
Gen notices A and says “Gods, what happened to you?” A looks sheepish and says, “We have a lot to talk about Gen” She replies “Oh, Gen, is it? Well, I guess I can’t command you to do things” and she heads up to sort things herself
A turns to everyone else and says “Hey, I’m back” and waves. B is too absorbed in the toe to notice
M directs everyone up to the dining room

Private Dining Room

There aren’t enough seats in the room for everyone, S and Derek are fighting over space on K’s shoulders, K saying he has two shoulders and B casts mage hand to forcibly push Derek over to one so S can take a seat on the other
M is pacing the room as everyone gets settled, X comes up to her and places a hand in front of her stomach, stopping her in her tracks, shakes her head and gestures with her chin to everyone else in the room
M looks at everyone and says “So, I have an insane plan” B tells her to go on and she continues “Well, I figure we need to deal with Micarafaux sooner rather than later, but I also imagine that Nekros is going to be keeping a tight hold on her, and if it was actually him that I was talking to in my dream, then it seems like he’s got plans for her”
M stops to think for a second, her intuition telling her that it probably wasn’t actually him, but she can’t be 100% certain (Intelligence save 18)
M continues “Either way, she, it? I don’t know... Gods I feel egotistical saying this, but she is a danger because if she knows what I know...”
M gets the impressions that she most likely does have her memories and knowledge and is probably more powerful in the magic department too
V speaks up and says “Well, frankly, I do not care how strong or powerful is she is, I’m getting my daughter back today” slamming a fist on the table
M says, “That is part of the plan” and V sits back, folding his arms over his chest
M continues “So Draekos has informed us that he had been summoned to meet Lady Elira in the town square at 10 a.m.” Draekos places the invite on the table for people to look at and M continues “We’re thinking we crash the party. I was already planning on revealing myself... That's maybe not the best phrasing... in the town square today anyway. So, why not? We’re going to need to tempt Nekros to put Micarafaux in a situation where we can take care of her. So, my plan was that after I reveal everything, I challenge her to a fight in the pit with a at least a couple people for back up for backup because I could not do that myself. if we win, we're taking care of Micarafaux. That's one less thing on the table. That is our win. If she wins, well, I was planning on volunteering myself as his captive”
J and C both immediately protest, C saying “No, you’re not doing that” J adding “You don’t want to do that”
M says “No, I don’t, but we’ve got to make it worth his while to put her at risk”
A stands up and says "If there is to be a group to face off against Nekros' best, I think we should put forward our best. Five or six of us versus five or six of them." Trying to make eye contact with B who is half listening, seemingly thinking over everything
He then moves to make eye contact with K who gives him a nod and then to G who also gives him a nod and says “I think Micarafae, myself, Bruzrik, Kree Gwinri and maybe one other”
S says “Oh, I’m already going!” J and V look at her as B has his mage hand slowly push her back down into her seat and she says “Hey, hey, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm allowed to go.” M says, “I told you I would sleep on it” S pouts
Syyric is watching everyone, sizing them up, getting an idea of their vibe, associating names to faces and really considering what is being said
M continues “So while the fight was going on, the plan was for the rest of you, maybe not all of you, might be a good idea to have some people remain here, maybe a C team. But yeah, while the fight is going on, we’ll have a B team led by Lilinara, since she is the one who was able to figure out where the shadowlings were coming from in the sewers to try and find their base of operations, get people out.”
Lili stands up and says, “I think they have Todd too” A says “Todd? Why would anyone want Todd?” Lili gives him the stick eye
Lili says “I went to see him this morning, and Kelsin isn’t back yet, but I went up to Todd’s room, and it was locked, so I picked the lock and then I went in and everything was like torn up and I found this” She pulls out a piece of paper and puts it on the table before continuing “But there was like claw marks and then they kind of went out onto the roof out the window and then I think I saw the path where it went, but I decided not to follow it. Also, there's like 50 guards around town...”
M takes the paper, seeing it is a letter to Lornan Ironfang and calls Syyric over and points it out to him, he lets out a big sigh, placing a hand to his face and drawing them down and says “Ok, fight first, talk later, right?” M says they’ve got some time as she wasn’t planning on doing that until tonight
M quickly fills everyone in on what they discussed with Draekos the night previous
B stands up and loudly clears his throat and says “I think this is the best plan we’ve got right now, but I want to make one change” M asks if that is to kill Lunae, B says “No, because if Nekros is going to bring his best, she will be there”
M turns to Jazen and asks if he has any update on her current condition, he says "Okay, here's the deal. Lunae, she ran away. I sent off my... I sent off Collin, and I put him in his strongest fastest form and he gave chase. he got some attacks in. I absorbed a ton of hits from Lunae. Um because Collin's not very good at dodging. Collin was able to sever one of her legs. Spraying her with... more of himself.” Seeming to be avoiding saying the word leech for people who might be grossed out by that
He continues “And we got a lot of good chunks out of her. That leg is gone unless she is able to restore it somehow. That is a thing you can do in this world?” M says “It’s some very powerful magic”
He points at here and says “Noted, ok, so as Rik requested, I brought over the only remaining piece of her. I’m assuming you have some way of magically tracking with it. But yeah, she is bleeding out, my only concern is she was smiling.”
M remembers when she did detect thoughts on Jazen and was able to see through Collin’s eyes, Lunae was in pain and that she was smiling and that she seemed pleased to have dealt a killing blow to Collin and that there was so much blood and that unless someone goes to get her, she’s probably still out there (history 17)
M says “I think she was just enjoying the blood” but as she says it feels like there’s most likely an ulterior motive.
B says he knew she was into blood magic, and recalls her kidnapping the mother of the young kids on the farm and is able to make connections to the nightmare creatures and the fact that Riordan, or at least the nightmare resembling him, is back (Intelligence nat 20)
M asks if she needs the blood to summon the nightmares, B says it seems like she needs sacrifices or massive amounts of blood for some sort of ritual tied to the nightmares recorded in her book and resummoning them
M suggests while they are at the town square that a couple people go and try to find Lunae
X squeezes her hand and asks if she’s sure she doesn’t want everyone going to the square, M says she would prefer everyone be in one place, but that the longer Lunae is out there, the more likely it is for something to happen regarding her
J and C both say that they probably don’t need to send everyone in but A nods to X and says “I think she has a point that if you put this forward, what stops them from just taking you then and there? At least have some of us, if not half of us there.” M says that was the plan, that only a few people try track down Lunae
B clears his throat again and says “As I was saying, it's the only plan or the best plan we've got right now, but I do want to make one change. If we lose, offer me instead as Nekros’ prize. I already humiliated him before. He seems like he's probably got an ego."
M says “Thing is, and again, I feel a bit egotistical saying this, but I have knowledge. I have influence. I feel like I would be of more use to him. I feel gross saying that.”
B says “But he already has that with Micarafaux” S says “Yeah. He might not even want you anymore” B adds “if he's got a puppet that he already controls. Why does he need the original that would actually has a will of her own?”
K says maybe the puppet doesn’t have exact knowledge M says I don't know. I'm going to work on the assumption that it knows everything that I know because that is the safer bet. Prepare for the worst and all that. I mean, when I challenge him, I could say either me or you or maybe both.” B says he’ll agree to the plan if she says both of them
Draekos asks if M wants him to accompany her and she says she thought that was the pan, he says “Good, because this meeting is getting awfully boring and I need to do something about it” and flexes his hands
M says that he should go in nothing is going on and then she finds a good moment to crash the party
B asks C, V and Jazen to go with him to find Lunae, Lili says she’s sticking with Jazen, S is staying at Genevieve’s and everyone else is going to the town square
M takes out the Stormhide Cloak looted from Zalthea and puts it on, pulling the hood up so it obscures her face
M gives her notebook to Syyric so he can catch up on all the details, he puts it away and says, “I missed you, you know?” M says “I missed you, it’s good to see you again. By the way, the pendant, life saver” he seems surprised but happy to hear it
M quickly teaches C and B to use the scrying crystals and pass them and the map to them just in case
B looks to C and asks him to give him the bracelet her gave him, then passes the other half of Bands of the Lost and Found to M who puts it on
M pull A aside, stepping into a backroom, he says “God, it’s been so long... Sorry, what did you want?” M says “It’s kind of stupid” He says “No, what?” and she grabs the drum, wrapped in a bit of fabric from her bag and says “I figured you could use an upgrade from the buckets” He thanks her and goes to hug her, but seems unsure, M pulls him into a hug

Ravenswood (Lunae Search Team)

B notices that there are indeed a lot more guards than normal, as they were told, with different variations of crests. He get the impression they’ll either need to sneak or fight their way through (Perception 18)
Lili recognises one of the guards from her time with the Blackthorns and tries to keep her head down (perception 17)
B reaches into his bag and pulls out his cloak, and hands it to Lili saying she might want to wear it and she puts it on
Jazen nudges B and says he could do what he did last time they needed a distraction B says to wait and see if they need it and try talking their way out first
B says he wants to go visit the blacksmith from the night prior first to get some tools from him, Lili nudges Jazen and points to her neck at the mention of a blacksmith
B tells everyone to break up into smaller groups until they get out of town, so they don’t draw as much attention
Jazen stares off into the distance for a second before saying “Blacksmith, got it” grabs Lili around the waist, the two of them walk into a wall and disappear B says “I hate that man”
C walks off and disappears into the shadows (Stealth 20)
V manages to walk past the first group unnoticed, sees a group of guards coming up and tries to sneak by them behind a stall, the man running the stall sees him sneaking about and says “Hey, are you trying to steal from me?” V says he was just trying to get by and the guy calls out that someone is trying to steal from him (stealth 2)
B sees this happen and notices the guards approaching and tries to get there befoe them
B tells the guy running the stall there seems to have been a misunderstanding, the guy asks if they’re both ganging up on him now and B says he may have gotten the wrong idea and jingles his coin purse, the merchant says he’s listening (persuasion 14)
The guards move up a bit closer before stopping and very obviously listening to this exchange
B pulls out 5 gold and says they were just trying to see what his wares were, the merchant holds his hand out and B puts a gold in it, asking if he could tell them about his products they might be inclined to buy
The merchant tells them he’s a whittler and that he can make almost anything out of wood for the right price
B puts the remaining gold in his hand, points to the guards and says "As a gift to those gentlemen for all their hard work, please go make something nice for them."
The merchant takes the gold and says he will, heading off in the direction of the guards
B grabs V and powerwalk away, V apologising to B as they walk
They arrive at the blacksmith to see Lili, Jazen and C all meandering outside
B walks in and asks for tinker’s tool and blacksmith’s tools, which the blacksmith sells him for one gold each
Jazen asks Lili if she has enough gold and she says she should do and tells her to go ask, she leans into him and looks at him as if to ask if he can. He rolls his eyes and takes her hand, leading her in and tells the blacksmith he’s got a job for him and asks how difficult it would be to remove the collar around Lili’s neck
He asks Lili if it is magic and she says she doesn’t know and he takes a small hammer and chisel to investigate it, putting a few dents in it and deciding it’s not magic and says he can get it off no problem
He goes off to look for tools and asks if it’s a cultural thing, Jazen asks if Lili wants to answer that and she says no
The blacksmith says he doesn’t normally get stories when people need things cut off and quickly cuts it off with a large tool of some sort.
Jazen catches it and asks Lili if she wants to hold onto it, she asks if he can hold onto it and he says that’s what he was thinking and dramatically throws it into the air and it disappears
Lili hugs Jazen and he thanks the blacksmith, throwing a couple of coins his way saying he was going to let Lili pay for it, but he couldn’t.

Ravenswood Town Square

Leaving Genevieve’s

Draekos is looking out the window, talking about his steeds
A and Syyric are introducing themselves to each other and sharing stories about M
G is cleaning her pickaxe
K is tidying her room and finds the cloak B gave her that is bloody and covered in dust, Derek asks her if she’s going to bring that along, K says maybe she can figure out what’s going on with it while everything’s going on in the town square, Derek tells her not to wear it and she says she figured and asks why he says that, he says “Well didn't you see what happened to that Drow girl?”
Syyric starts reading M’s notebook after talking with A
M, J and X are chatting about their experiences with Nekros and how what he did to J was bad enough that her goddess saw fit to block the memories from her
G, K and M are able to watch the movements of the guards, and find their patrol patterns or when they change watches so they should have an easier time getting by unnoticed if they leave while they are distracted (Perception G&K 20 M nat 20)
M suggests that Draekos go separately since no one will stop him and he heads out
X says she could probably go with him, and M says it wouldn’t seem out of place for them to be together so that works and she heads out to catch up with him
Stealth rolls Syyric nat 1, A 8, M 12, K 12, G 7, J nat 20, S 12, Guard perception 11
They manage to get through relatively unnoticed by the guards and make their way into the town squares, dispersing throughout the crowd

Town Square

M makes her way up to the right side of the stage, G takes the left side of the stage opposite M, K takes a spot behind the mass of the crowd, Syyric to her left, X and A slightly behind M, Draekos behind G
G notices her brother Orrinar Frostbelt there on the stage (18 perception)
Standing beside him is Lady Elira Blackthorn
M can also spot Micarafaux in her High Elf form, standing next to her is a Minotaur she suspects in Tarruk (perception nat 20)
M uses message to tell Tarruk “I'm assuming you're Tarruk, the person you're standing next to is not Micarafae” but doesn’t get a response and tries again saying “Don’t act suspicious, but that is not me” (persuasion 16) He cracks his neck but makes no other moves or shows signs of anything going on
Elira Steps forwards and says "I thank you all for answering my summons. It is with a sad heart I have to deliver news that my husband Harren has been killed." The crowd gasps
She continues “I have sought allies in the time of his passing, and the gods have graced me with someone who will help me bring justice to my late husband's killer. I would like to present to you all Sir Sorken”
Sir Sokren pulls his hood off, and everyone can clearly see that it is Nekros
She says “Sir Sorken here, along with Orrinar Frostbelt of the mountain. "And then I have these lovely two. Some of you may know the Lady Mildmore."
M steps up on the stage and pulls her hood down, looks to Elira and says “It’s been a while”
Tarruk steps up to her and puts his hands on her in an attempt to move her but M pushes back, holding her ground and feels the familiar buzzing as their skin makes contact (Strength 14 vs Strength save 16)
M makes eye contact with him as he tells her to get off the stage or he’ll make her, and she sends a message to him telling him to look at her sword (persuasion 12)
Tarruk doesn’t look at her sword, instead keeps his eyes fixed on her and says, "Get off now or I'll make you and it won't be nicely."
M uses message again to say “Tarruk, I'm going to take my hand off you. That buzzing you're feeling, you're going to stop feeling it. That is how champions can identify each other.” and takes her hand off him
Tarruk leans back and says, “you know, the thing you said she would try to do, she's doing it.” to Micarafaux who gives M a knowing look
G runs up on stage and tries to get next to M but is stopped by Orrinar (dex save 2)
He holds his hand palm out and says “Back off sister. We have words to be had Once this is all done, you and I are going to talk” G takes a step back and he takes a step forward seemingly pissed and says “How long have you been gone, Gwinri? Where’s Perrin? Where’s Tharnek? They were supposed to be back days ago They dropped you off and they were supposed to come straight back” G says, “They haven’t come back?” He says “What do you think, Gwinri? I tracked as best I could, I made it all the way to the bluffs, and I made it back to town and they just disappear outside. Poof. And we don’t take kindly to our own being mysteriously disappeared Gwinri, or did you not know better than that?” (insight nat 1)
Orrinar straightens himself up and takes a step back, adding “Luckily, I made my way to the noble houses here, as you should have and I was able to break bread with the Blackthorns. They took me in and were quite kind” G is staring at him, lost for words
K flies onto the stage and feels like gravity is intensifying around her but is able to push through it, Derek says someone just tried to do something and K says she felt it too and asks if he has any idea what it was, he says he doesn't (dex save 16)
K tries to suss it out but can only tell that she was the target of something, but if she had been on the ground, it would have affected more people (11 arcana)
Elira steps forward and Nekros puts a hand on her shoulder, as she speaks it sounds like her voice is being projected or amplified and she says “Enough of these interruptions, I have brought you all here today...” M interrupts and says “To seek the destruction of this town?” Elira continues “Because I require assistance in finding my husband’s killer” M interrupts again and says, “What about your son’s killer, because I’m right here!”
M feels her mouth covered by a Minotaur hand (strength save 13) but uses Korbus’ Grace to slip out of his grip and show that she is the one with Korbus’ power, not Micarafaux, trying to reach out to Korbus as she does so but is unable to connect (charisma 7)
Tarruk sees this and crumples his forehead, a little confused by this but Micarafaux whispers something in his ear and he says “Yeah, she would”
Elira Continues “Anyone who is able to bring forth evidence...” M interrupts again and says “That your son was keeping women as sex slaves? Because I’ve got it” Tarruk reach towards her again, but she grabs his fist before he can do anything (Strength save nat 20)
The crowd seems to be taking note of what M is saying and are starting to talk amongst themselves a little
Elira is starting to get red in the face and looks very frustrated and says “a big reward will be given to anyone who is able to provide information in the capture or death of my husband's killer.” and Micarafaux uses Major Image to create a depiction of B but not in enough detail that people will be able to perfectly identify him (5/100)
M looks to Draekos wondering if he’s going to come up and start backing her up or not
Draekos hops up on the stage and moves to back up M, knocking Tarruk’s hand away from M and pushing him back then eyes Nekros and Elira, who starts to look a little worried now that he’s involved but continues her speech, saying “Sir Sorken here is going to be helping with his immense resources and connections through Ashvale and New Dawnsbrooke”
Nekros looks out across the group, arms crossed and an uncomfortably wide grin on his face, seemingly like he’s getting ready to do something
Elira starts to speak, ordering someone to get everyone off the stage but Draekos covers her mouth before she can finish, saying “That’s enough of that”
Syyric, X and A all move closer to the stage
M turns to face the audience and points to Nekros, saying "This man here is not your salvation. He is the one who seeks to bring destruction to this town.” Nekros yawns and looks bored, M continues “And the lovely Lord Harren Blackthorn was work planning on working with him in order to usurp power over House Dawnspire and House Vaeloria as well as providing women to his son that were under contract to be used as sex slaves.”
The crowd starts murmuring and Nekros says “All of this coming from a pretender” M looks to K and asks if she stocked dispel magic and K says she did and M says “Cast dispel magic on me” which she does, and nothing happens since she is not disguised
The crowd start chattering, saying they didn’t see anything and asking what was supposed to happen, M says “Exactly, because I am who I say I am” One of the audience members says “Well you don’t look like Lady Mildmore” another replies saying “You fucking idiot, she’s a Drow”
M looks to Micarafaux and says, “If my counterpart here would subject herself to the same, we can see who the pretender is” (wisdom save 20)
Tarruk tilts his head and looks at Nekros before saying “Lady Mildmore doesn’t need to do little tricks” M says “If she is who she says she is then she has nothing to lose by allowing my friend here to use dispel magic”
M looks to the crowd again, saying “Right, if she is who she says she is then surely she’ll have no issue proving that” (performance 25)
The crowd seems to get on board with what M is saying, even Tarruk looks like he’s starting to be convinced but Nekros puts a hand on him and says, “Remember we talked about this yesterday” and he nods
M looks at Tarruk and says aloud “Did Korbus ever tell you about Skurth?”
K feels herself being pulled to the ground, but M calls out using Auspicious Warning and she is able to keep herself standing (Wisdom save G 18, M 17, K 15 + 4)
Nekros steps up right in front of M with Tarruk and Micarafaux flanking him, causing A and X to step up protectively behind her. Nekros leans in, hands behind his back, giving M a clear view of his eyes and says quietly so only M and Draekos an hear “What little game are you playing?”
M says, “I suppose you’re about to find out, aren’t you?” Nekros says “I knew you’d come” M replies, “I’d never miss a chance to put on a show” He says “Oh, I have a show, but what did you have in mind?”
M says, “A duel, tonight, in the pit” He says “You won’t live that long. But say you do, what then?” M says, “Me and some of my friends versus...” she looks to Micarafaux and continues “And maybe some others” Nekros says “You want a mirror match?” M says, “If we lose” He interrupts to say “Which you will” M says “Bruzrik and I will offer ourselves as your captives”
Nekros says “I get to publicly kill Bruzrik” M has a quick think about how B might feel about that and comes to the conclusion that he would find that acceptable (insight 10)
M says “Deal” and holds out her hand to shake his, Nekros tells Micarafaux to shake M’s hand and steps in front of M. Micarafaux licks her lips as she grabs M’s hand and M doesn’t feel any buzzing as they touch
Micarafaux pulls M in close, so they’re faces are about a foot away and tilts her head saying, “What a pretty thing you are, it’ll be a shame to kill you” (Dex save 11)
Micarafaux then pushes her back, Draekos attempts to catch her, managing to stop her from falling prone with a little bit of help from K
X and A run to M’s side and Micarafaux looks distraught
Nekros rolls his eyes and says "Listen carefully, reward is offered to anyone who brings this Dragonborn to justice, alive or dead. Riches beyond imagining, compensation for those who aid in the capture of the one who dared decapitate the noble Blackthorn. Let none among you think you are safe from the consequences of crimes.”
K notices as he speaks the eyes of the crowd all seem to glimmer green for a second and can tell that Nekros has cast a spell of some kind on them (perception 20, arcana 15)
M can tell that a spell has been cast but can’t tell where or who it targeted and starts whistling a countercharm out of caution (Perception 11, arcana 16)
G doesn’t notice this as she’s too focused on her brother, but feels like there’s something different about his eyes (Perception 11, arcana 5)
The group are unaffected by the spell thanks to M’s countercharm (wisdom save A Nat 20, K 21, Draekos 20, Syyric 19, G, X & M 18, J 16)
The crowd now all start to move closer to Nekros
M walks up to Nekros and plunges The Ash Song into his abdomen (24 attack) dealing 12 points of piercing damage and 1 point of fire, as the blue flame hits him M can see a swirl of blue, purple and green emerge from him and quells the fire of the blade
Nekros smiles and says “Maybe you will survive today. See you tonight” and he pulls himself off of her sword and turns to walk away
Tarruk pushes her sword away, not seeming to take notice of it again
The crowd start to push into the group, seemingly following Nekros and grouping around him
M has a good look at Tarruk, trying to discern if he has been charmed as well and believe that he is not currently, but he had been in the past and Nekros and Micarafaux have done a lot of work to condition him to believe M is the fake (insight 23)
M feels like she could have taken another swing at him but decides to instead take the chance to cast command on Tarruk, but is shouldered by someone in the crowd, interrupting her before she can
K steps over to G to see if she’s alright. Orrinar looks at the both of them and says “Gwinri if you want to talk, you'll come to the Blackthorn estate. That's where I'll be and that's where we'll be doing our business. Do you understand sister?” G nods and he says “Finally, some compliance from my troublesome sister.”
G gets a better look at him and can tell that he has clearly been charmed and not by whatever Nekros just did but prior to that (nat 20 insight)
She gets the sense that he went to the blackthorns, but that might not be the first person he had encountered when he had been tracking outside of the town, figuring that he probably ran into someone from Nekros’ crew who manipulated him into meeting Nekros who then manipulated into meeting Lady Elira
M casts command on Tarruk, calling out “Speculate” as he walks off with Nekros who fails his wisdom save with a 7 and adds “Think about what I have told you, think about what is going on here”
Tarruk starts mumbling to himself and Micarafaux tries to talk him out of it but can’t seem to break through the effect of the spell
Orrinar grabs Tarruk’s arm and pulls him in the direction the others are heading in (nat 1 vs 15)
M adds “You have all of the information you need” (persuasion 14)
Some sense seems to be coming to Tarruk as he’s clearly deep in thought as he’s being pulled away
G and K noticed the guards closing in around them (perception 21 & 17) M is too focused on trying to get Tarruk to see what’s going on to notice (perception 10)
G says “I think we need to get out of here”
Tarruk shakes off Orrinar who just falls into pace with the thralled townsfolk and follows Nekros
Tarruk steps forward and says “I don’t know what to believe”
M sends Ember to fly over to him, Tarruk sees them and extends his hand, Ember landing on it and chirps a little song to him (persuasion 17)
It seems to be working to convince him and Nekros is not pleased about it, signalling for one of the guards to fire at them but misses (7 attack)
Tarruk grabs Ember in a protective manner and barrels through the guards in front of him before stopping and letting go of Ember so they can fly again
M looks at him and says “Xinny sacrificed herself so that Alaric here could get out of Korbus’ realm”
Tarruk looks A up and down and says “Your armour was crafted from the trees of Korbus' realm. That's not something you find here. A sword can be faked, but that armour. That's real, isn't it?" A calls out to confirm

K uses dispel magic on Orrinar who looks around, confused and angry and looks at G before saying something to Nekros and heading off in a different direction then flies up into the air
Derek readies an attack for if anyone comes into range
Draekos uses lighting breath dealing 26 lightening damage to 6 guards killing them all
A moves to the upper left corner of the stage and uses guard
X moves to back up Draekos and uses silver whispers on 3 guards, 1 makes their wisdom save and takes 6 psychic damage, the other 2 who failed take 13 which kills them
Ember shifts into their Crescendo Striker Lyre form, Tarruk looks confused and amazed as they do, Ember flies to the nearest guard and uses resonant strike, the guard fails there con save with a 9 and takes 9 thunder damage + 7 radiant damage, killing the guard then flies back to hang by Tarruk
M uses Vicious Mockery on a guard next to A who fails the wisdom save and takes 6 psychic damage and has disadvantage on their next attack
J uses thorn lash on one of the guards, hitting with 27 and deals 9 damage
G transforms into her lunar form and claws at the guard in front of her, missing with 12, swiping again and hitting with 26 and dealing 15 slashing damage, killing the guard

The remaining civilians start to flee
K flies over to the group of guards who killed the civilians and uses thunderwave hitting 5 of them with only one making the con save and takes 5 damage, the rest take 11 thunder damage and get pushed back 5 feet
Derek flies over to Draekos and swipes at a guard, missing with a 6
Draekos slams his trident into the ground and summons a wave of water that fans out from him, 1 guard taking 8 damage, the other 4 fail and take 17 damage killing the 4 of them
A attacks one of the guards by him, hitting with a 15 and dealing 9 points of slashing + 4 fire damage, killing the guard
X uses psychic claws hitting with 17 and dealing 10 damage
Tarruk sees everything going on, grabs his horns, looking pained and runs off in a panic (nat 1)
M sends Ember to follow him and try to lead him back to Genevieve’s
M stabs a guard by her with The Ash Song, hitting with 23 and dealing 10 piercing and 4 fire damage, killing the guard before moving to stab another with her dagger, hitting with 19 and dealing 4 piercing damage then calls out to Draekos to tell him to conserve his resources he says “Why don’t we try this conversation again when you’ve killed 10 guards in 12 seconds”
J attacks a guard by her, hitting with 22 and dealing 7 damage and killing the guard
G slashes at the guard on her left, hitting with 17 and dealing 11 slashing damage before swiping again, hitting with 19 and dealing 9 damage, killing them

A hits a guard by him with a nat 20 dealing 10 slashing and 4 fire damage killing the guard, the residual damage dealing 8 slashing and 1 fire damage to the next guard
X swings at a guard but misses with a 12
Ember continues to follow Tarruk while singing to him
M Calls out to the guards “The women you are trying to protect knowingly provided women to use son for use as sex slaves, is that really worth dying for?” (persuasion 12) the guards seem unconvinced, so she stabs one hitting with 18 dealing 7 piercing and 4 fire damage then stabs them with her dagger, hitting with 23 and dealing 5 piercing damage, killing the guard
J hits a guard by her with a 23 dealing 8 damage
G swings at a guard by her hitting with 22 and dealing 11 damage before swinging again hitting with 18 and dealing 12 slashing damage killing the guard

Derek swipes at the guard by Draekos, hitting with 20 and dealing 4 slashing damage, killing the guard then flies back to K, saying “Good luck blue boy” to Draekos as he leaves, M laughs too hard as Draekos says “Well, I never...”
A swings the guard by him and misses with a 14

K transforms into the Sporebound Bone Mammoth, M calls out to Draekos saying “That’s her other gift!” Draekos replies “Now that’s better!” M says “Told you, you wouldn’t want to see that inside” A and Syyric look shocked to see an undead mammoth appear
Mammoth K uses Earthen Shatter; 4 guards make their dex save taking 4 bludgeoning damage while another 4 fail and take 9 as well as an addition 3 poison damage killing 3 guards and knocking the one close to M prone
Derek flies over to the no prone guard and swings at him, hitting with 15 and dealing 4 slashing damage, killing the guard. M curtsies and thanks Derek, he curtsies and says “Not a problem, I’m better than Ember” M says “Well, I did like you”
Draekos yells to m “Are you still sure about conserving resources?” M replies “Well if it’s a matter of survival... Prioritise!” He uses Wave Step, summoning water forth from his trident and surges out from him, knocking all 5 guards around him prone then stabs at one with his trident, hitting with 20 and dealing 12 damage
A swings at the guard by him, hitting with 16 and dealing 9 slashing and 2 fire damage, killing the guard then moves to beside M
X sees A approach and says “She’s yours” before turning around and going to attack on of the prone guards by Draekos but misses with a 12
M stabs the guard by her with The Ash Song, hitting with 25 and dealing 8 piercing and 1 fire damage then stabs him with her dagger, hitting with 19 and dealing 5 piercing damage killing them
J attacks a guard hitting with 27 and dealing 10 damage killing the guard
G swings at the guard closest to her, missing with 11 then swings again and hits with 15 dealing 11 slashing then uses action surge, swiping again another 2 times both missing with 13 and 11

Derek moves beside M and A, hitting the guard by him with a 16 and dealing 6 slashing Damage
K uses Ghastly Trumpet on 7 guards 4 make their save and take 1 damage the other 3 take 4 damage and are frightened
Draekos says to X “Darling I only have two tricks left and I think I have to use one of them” X asks if that means he’s going to hit her. Then uses one of his wave abilities, 2 guards make the saving through, the other 4 take 9 damage, killing one and deals 4 damage to the two that saved, killing one of them
