Embervale Exchange
A guild who will barter trade for anything but they are known for not making favorable trades but tend to have many unique and rare sought after items/weapons etc. The guild’s reputation for bad trades might hide a larger scheme to manipulate the region’s economy.
The Embervale Exchange is housed in a charming but weathered stone building, tucked between two larger, more prominent shops in Ravenswood. The exterior is adorned with faded wooden signage, featuring an ember-like logo that subtly resembles a flame curling upward. The entrance is framed with iron-wrought shelves, each stacked with items from across the lands—rare artifacts, exotic trinkets, finely crafted weapons, and unmarked crates of questionable origin. Despite the high volume of goods, there’s an odd air of disorganization, as if the guild is trying to maintain an illusion of chaos while secretly running a highly calculated operation behind the scenes.
Inside, the shop has the ambiance of an antique dealer’s treasure trove—long shelves filled with strange, often arcane, items from distant lands. The floor is cluttered with barrels and crates, some barely recognizable as being part of the same collection. It’s a bit cramped, with the pungent smell of incense mingling with the scent of old wood and metal. Dim lighting from flickering candles casts long shadows over the shelves, making it hard to discern whether the goods are as valuable as they seem.
At the helm of the Embervale Exchange are a group of shrewd and enigmatic traders, each with their own private motives. The guild is known to keep a low profile, and those who run it rarely show themselves to the public. The most visible figure is Dante Silvershade, a well-dressed man of middle age with an ever-present calm demeanor and an unnerving smile. Dante is said to have ties to wealthy nobles and influential business figures across the region. His charisma is unmatched, and he has a talent for convincing even the most skeptical traders to part with their valuable goods—sometimes for a price far lower than they expected.
