The Temple of the Gods

Located high in the mountains north of The City State of Winterfall stands The Temple of the Gods.  The Temple is known as where the Gods banded together to perform the ritual banishing Voloid from the world so many years ago.  The ritual consumed so much divine power that many of the God's Avatars and celestials died, willingly giving their lifeforce to power the spell trapping the God of Void in a demi-plane.
The Temple has areas dedicated to each God, and although the faithful from just about every God's followers make pilgrimages to the Temple on a regular basis, is not visited except by those granted access by the Gods themselves.  Instead, the faithful visit a vast plateau just below the Temple where numerous shrines dedicated to each of the Gods have been setup.  While not permanent churches, the Shrines have visitors just about every day with many large groups of pilgrims camping on the plateau for weeks at a time after long and grueling trips to the Temple.
