Percens

The World of Percens has a long and storied history. However since the adventures of the players will focus primarily within the City-State of Winterfall, what follows is an overview of the world outside of Winterfall that the players and their characters may have some knowledge of. This is not intended to be a comprehensive view of the world or its inhabitants so players should feel free to shape their character’s background accordingly if they wish to originate outside of Winterfall.   The known realms of Percens are found on one primary continent that is split straight down the middle by the mountain range known as The Spine of the World. In the northern portion of this range is the mountain pass where City-State of Winterfall was founded. To the south another major mountain pass is dominated by the city of Barton, capital of The Eastern Empire.   To the west of The Spine of the World lies the Elven Realms, much of which is dominated by The Great Forest in the north and The Elven Grove in the south. To the east lies both The Free Lands of Men, which stretches from Durstwood in the northwest to its capital, Deeptown on the northern shores of The Sapphire Lake. The Eastern Empire stretches from the southern shores of The Sapphire Lake to The Spine in the west and the Bogs of Remorse along the Bay of Storms to the south east. The mountain range is swallowed by the Northern Wastelands on one end and has eroded into The Drylands on the other.
