The Great Forest

The largest forest in Percens is also its most diverse.  While large numbers of Wood Elves obviously inhabit the forest, so do large numbers of humans, gnomes, halflings and others.  Unfortunately, the vastness of the Great Wood also is home to a number of malevolent races, primarily orcs, goblins, and kobolds, although there are smaller tribes of everything from lizardfolk to yuan-ti as well.  The forest also is home to the largest numbers of fey found outside the Feywild and many rumors swirl about the veil between planes being so thin in some areas that portals to the Feywild have opened spontaneously.
The Great Forest has also become the destination for many druids and healers as it holds flora and fauna not found anywhere else.  So whether it is a hard to find spell component, an exotic ingredient for a specialized potion, or a healing plant of incredible potency, many travel deep into the woods in search of these items when the need for them becomes dire.  In fact, some of the druid circles demand just such a pilgrimage to make those seeking to become full-fledged members.
