The Vesendi

The horrible Vesendi, a story from so long ago. Today just a fairy tale, but in the old times a story of true events.

Summary

The Vesendi is a being of pure evil and hatred, it has powers beyond comprehension. In the early days of the Crannogmen, it arrived. It turned the verdant forest of the early Reedlands into a horrible bog that it is today. It brought pain and suffering, brought the world into darkness. 
It was never killed or vanquished, it was only banished by people called the Guardians of Peace. It is said that one day, far into the future that the Vesendi will cross the barriers of its banishment and bring a new age of darkness.

It is a very common story told in the Reedlands, however overtime has become more of a fairy tale to scare children.

In Literature

There have been multiple books about the Vesendi, some telling the story others retelling it in a different style. One notable one, tells the story of the Vesendi's future return.

In Art

Few paint about it because it is so vague to paint. But there has been one masterpiece, that is proudly displayed in the SwampsShore palace
