Mês University

The Mês University is the only higher educational facility in the nation of Mescar. Dedicated to producing new intellectual thinkers to serve in the councils and scientific prodigies to further the technological advancements of the small nation.

Structure

Under the Master Teacher, who serves as the guardian and head of the university, a cabinet of ten advises the decision making of the school. These ten are handpicked from the staff of teachers in order to assure the best interest of the school and as such are called High Teachers. This cabinet operates quite similar to a local council. Under this is the normal Teachers who simply teach the students. The number of teachers at any time varies, however a typical count would be about twenty. Other members of the staff of the school are the Informess, secretary to the school lobby, and the nurse, and on-staff doctor for any sudden medical needs.

Culture

Mês University is dedicated to the advancement of Mescrian society and the belief that anyone has an ability to become great, if they are taught correctly. The crown annually grants the university with enough money to cover the majority of running costs as a sponsor of education so tuition is very minimal providing access to higher learning for lower classes. While there may be a tiny handful of rich students who were forced to attain a higher education, the majority of the school population really wants to be there, creating an atmosphere of excitement in learning and it's benefits.

History

Founded in the era after the Utuam dynasty, the Mês University symbolizes what can be achieved when Mescar stands together in a peaceful time. The school was originally opened to educate potential council members in economical, historical, and political courses designed to better the Mescrian government. Over time, however, the Mês University expanded its classes to include architectural, agricultural, and scientific studies (the later of which is now what the school is most known for).
