Zalos (zay-lohs)
The Sky King
MYTHOLOGY
In his youth he and Oceida were a bound pair, for there was not much else, quite literally in all existence. It wasn't until after he impregnated a Sysen not long after the Elves their creation that Oceida became fury. This Sysen would become Mother Season and birth the gods and goddesses of each season, one every 3 months. Thus the cycle settled distinctively as we know it now.
In the meantime, he and Oceida birthed Tempa who would go on to be the raging place where oceans meet seas and an eventual one of the Abyssmals for she was born from betrayal and clashing forces.
Zalos would then take a liking to the goddess Hotha of family who was young and yearning, and he eventually won her over after a clean cut with Oceida and swearing his loyalty. The two birthed the god of horizons and pathways - symbolising the road to recovery - Fhargamisen.
PAST WORSHIP
Was heavily worshiped once by those of heavily warring peoples as he readily would strike lightning for those who dared call out to him. Pressing the button to call down his lightning was one that did not necessarily have aim, and could just as easily backfire on its user.
PRESENT WORSHIP
His worship was once less pronounced and common, in fact he was more of a crude god to worship for his misadventures with the other deities. He seemingly is set straight in the new era and much of his past has been lost like so much other history, and perhaps conveniently in this case.
It wasn't until after The Rupture reshaped the planet that his abandoned avatar's skull was unearthed in what would become the great city of Arkhelium. For that he became their patron deity and his power soared. Such dedication either changed his swaying nature or rebranded him as such. Regardless he is highly respected outwardly.
