Session 7: Dwarves are bad, mmmmkay??

General Summary

It is 1 AM in the morning. The fighting has concluded. Flame Mogron Flintspear pronounced that the mine should belong to the Gorek Dynasty. The gang, minus a Skorpa as he is resting in The Mute Mage, heads towards The Archipelago to attend a meeting for the battle that just transpired. In the meantime, Daz identifies the mysterious armor and weapon which turns out to be Venombane Armor and Spider's Bite. Elgin will don these equipment for now.   The dwarves are trying to take control of the mine. Their rationale is that we do not have the forces adequate enough to protect this place. Daz attempts to reason that acting on the dwarven dynasty's interest will anger the other racial Empires and that Mogron should not be acting on such hasty recommendation if it might make King Grun look bad.   The gang is presented in front of the Archipelago, all but Ellie Honeysett (Halfling). Elgin reveals the name of Mogrin Flintspear to the Archipelago on revealing the name of the dwarven individual that made a bold proclamation. The entire Archipelago looks at Jorunn Jorunnsonn XIII, who is red in the face but remains silent. The general consensus of the Archipelago is that each individual race wished they procured such a grand plan, and that their individual empire would not be able to provide support against the dwarven might.   We receive a note that Neskur Xohim has been apprehended and that the gang are no longer quarantined within Midport and we are left with numerous options:   Quests:
  • Elgin - Feed his homeland and learn why his homeland is cut off
  • Skorpa - Uncover artifacts displaced around the world for his deity
  • Arete - Protect Midport and listen to his deity
  • Daz - Recover gnomish honor and the airships (Travels west)
  • Miranro - Learn who is the mysterious voice and recover his memories
  • Krathag - Defeat challenging foes - Travel west for a winged beast (Dragon)
  Other quests:
  • Explore the mines
  • Attend the interrogation of Neskur Xohim
  • Visit The Heartland (halfling isle) and uncover their security needs (Potentially helping Elgin’s background). (Travels West) [This is why Ellie is not present in the Archipelago]
During this heartfelt group bonding, each member has shared their backstory with the rest of the group and their goals of their quest.   Acquiring transportation for Heartland and shipment of supplies should be easy as we have an “excellent” standing with Jorunn Jorunnson, the Dwarven Master of Trade. Word is that the original supplies of grain that were sent to Elgin’s homeland before the gang embarked on their first quest did not reach their destination.   The gang decides to venture west towards the Heartland cause we hungry. And to figure out what is wrong with the origin of the supply chain that is disrupting the supplies of the world. (With the promise that Gnorr Hammerfist, Midport's dwarven blacksmith will send us the Colossus Bone equipment for Krathag and repaired helm for Skorpa, thanks to Midport Prime™).
