Goliaths
Created by Karax on the Northern Reach, goliaths are a massive, brutish species. Splintered into separate tribes which compete for resources.
Goliaths understand that violence can be necessary, but can be wasteful of rare resources. As such, they have learned to flare up in moments of violence, quickly deal with threats, and deescalate when sufficient damage has been done.
After a Goliath proves itself in battle, it is given a Name which somehow relates to the event (e.g. Red Johrn, Bloody-Nine, Black Dorra, Sunshine, Grey Smile).

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Aasimar
Aasimar are easily confused with angels. This makes goliaths very nervous around them - wouldn't want to slight the servants of Altir.Dragonborn
They claim to own great things, but their hoard seems to own them. The strength of a thing has little to do with who made it or where it came from.Dwarves
Dwarves are worth more respect than their size suggests. If they could learn to live a little, they might even be good company.Elves
Elves are always watching. They know too much, and tend to make goliaths uneasy.Firbolgs
Harmless things. Good to share a drink with.Gnomes
Clever little buggers. Their strengths and ours can easily combine to be something fearsome.Halflings
I suppose someone has to farm the land.Humans
If you don't watch them closely, they'll make off with our belongings and suggest it was our idea!Tieflings
Extremely unlucky, tieflings are. Offer a prayer for protection to Karax when you see one. Better safe than sorry.
