Pearl College leads the Terra Plane in magical research. This is quite a tricky thing to do, as Magic violently dislikes being classified, codified, or otherwise pinned down (consider the Long Nap ). Ditto conducting research at any kind of scale without invoking the displeasure or suspicion of the local authorities. Faculty and research teams conduct experiments and fieldwork, then write them up in the style of academic papers. Every June, the College hosts the premier international conference for magical researchers, also attracting delegations from Terra-adjacent planes.
