Julia Liang
Julia is the current heir of her family and, as such, the Pearl College Dean. She is extremely elegant and poised, particularly in public. Her family emphasized learning about the magical world as she grew up, but she was always equally interested in what the mundane world had to offer--one of the reasons she did an MBA degree before taking up her position.
Julia wants to integrate the magical and mundane worlds on the Terra plane (aka Earth) as well as continuing her family's previous mission of helping the various isolated magical communities and practitioners communicate with each other.
Julia's personal magic derives from her family's instruction, their own interpretation of feng shui. As heir, she is also bound to the very land and buildings of the college. She has broad control over their physical form, in particular, and can easily command doors to lock or unlock, statues to come to life, etc. Coming into the college places you under her protection--but also effectively under her dominion.
