Session 46: Cooking Up a Scheme
General Summary
We have two days before the elven envoy arrives and with all preparations complete, we don’t have much to do besides wait. We still don’t have a clue how we’ll get Amelia onboard to poison one of the crews. Taking their cook hostage and letting her steal his face is our best and only option currently. When the ships finally arrive, TT watches them through her spyglass until she spots our target. An elven man is making his way off of the ship for the night, his spatulas sheathed and hooked to his belt.
She dubs him “Spatulee” and sends her parrot to let me and Amelia know what’s up. Amelia’s in the middle of making herself look like a tourist, her story being that she’s ran off from home because she hates her husband. I suggest that the husband was abusive and she’s thrilled by that since it’ll make her seem vulnerable to our target. Marcus bursts into the room, squawking loudly and fleeing once TT’s message is delivered. The problem is, we have no idea what the fuck he means by “Spatulee”, so he flies back through to clarify.
We all head to the bar, TT keeping her eyes on the target at all times while Amelia approaches. She keeps her distance, sending a drink to his table to lure him over to her and when it works, the two go from casual conversation to flirting real quick. He catches her off guard with one of his questions, but he never gets an answer as my drunk ass is dragging somebody on stage with me because it’s karaoke night. I announce to the crowd that they should find a partner and serenade them all while they slow dance. It gives Amelia the chance to get even closer to Kieran, who, in his words, is all about “sweet escapes”.
It isn’t long before the two make their way upstairs, TT following close behind in case everything goes south. Amelia’s locked the door behind her though, trying to get Kieran in the mood by blindfolding him and casting a domination spell on him. It fails. TT unlocks the door and slips into the room right as Amelia casts it again, this time being successful. They interrogate her “love slave”, learning that the plan we were so proud of was all for nothing. There was no way the guard ships would ever leave the main ship. Me and the rest of our strike team is gathered in the room so we can formulate a new plan.
Our plan can still work to some degree though. Kieran will poison the head chefs on the main ship during a meeting and take their place. He’ll “hire” us all on as his kitchen staff and from there, we can poison the soldiers aboard it while somebody slips away to the control room. We’ll commandeer the ship, which will definitely have the guard ships chasing after us. From there, we’ll lead them right into the ambush spot and hopefully manage to take them out.
