Session 35: You're Fired Report in Pathfinder Pirates | World Anvil

Session 35: You're Fired

General Summary

We’re still a week out from our current destination and with a storm moving in, we have to change course to avoid it. Unfortunately for us, it turns out our maps are outdated and we’re led right into a military blockade. The soldiers onboard clearly aren’t the brightest and with a simple lie that pirates made off with our papers, we’re allowed entry into a nearby port town. The streets are bustling with elven soldiers taking everything they can to prevent an uprising from the citizens. Shops are cleared out of their weapons and potions, leaving their owners broke and unable to make a decent living. We all go our separate ways to try and see what’s left, meeting up with one another in a bar afterwards to discuss the next leg of our journey.     We have no intention of sticking around Sanski Most once we get a hold of a new map, but there’s still time to kill before we can set sail once more. As if on cue, we’re treated to all sorts of local rumors, including a building revolution started by miners and a goddamn yeti wandering the outskirts of the town. A group of men seated around a table in the corner confirm that the revolution is alive and with their hatred of the elves more than apparent, TT wants the details. They’re planning an attack during the night in an effort to chase the military out of town. They want snipers, explosives, and fighters a plenty; but with their numbers down, they need to bust some of their people out of prison. Luckily the town’s guards aren’t fond of the elves either and are in on the plan, but in order to keep the heat off of them, we’ll all have to act like this a legitimate escape.     Afterwards, the group intends to fight their way to the elven treasury that’s been established and for our help, our crew will get a 15% cut of the loot. While TT and Owkbanok want to stay and help the rebels, me and Brutus are more interested in the talks of rogue yetis prowling about. One of the men at the table says that he saw it with his own eyes, watching as it brutalized his cousin while the two were on a hunting trip. We debate on splitting the party, but ultimately decide to stick together. We’ll help the rebels first and then immediately make our way into the woods for some monster hunting. Over the next few hours, we get ourselves into position and break out the prisoners just in time as the first squad of elves shows up.     Now this is where we’ve made our big mistake. Remember how all the shops were lacking supplies thanks to these douchebags? One of those stores happened to sell firearms and for some reason, this didn’t strike any of us as a cause for concern. So imagine our sudden, stupid surprise as the military open fires on us with revolvers and rifles. Even severely outmatched with literal fucking guns, we still manage to kill all of these bastards and begin making our way to the treasury.
