Temple of Passion

The Temple of Passion serves all of the Virtues and Vices. Each major temple contains 14 Chosen Ones, priests who embody to the best of their ability their chosen Virtue or Vice. Each Chosen One sits on a Council of Voices, the ruling body for the major temple which makes high level decisions for the specific temple. The three major temples of the Temple of Passion come together on occasion for Convocations of the Heart, great meetings where the entire direction of the Temple is decided.   Heralds carry messages from the major temples to smaller temples, called churches, located in smaller towns. The Heralds hand down the edicts of the nearest Temples, rules for the various churches to follow. Many churches possess space to pray to each of the Virtues or Vices, but usually only have one or two mid-level ranking clergymen, often devotees of a particular Virtue or Vice. In villages and hamlets too small for even a church, there is often a shrine to the patron Virtue or Vice of the village, which is looked after by a Caretaker.   Among the hierarchy of the Temples and Churches are countless lay clergy, low-level clerics and champions and those who hold various other positions of menial labor within the church.
