Titus I, Emperor of Setica Character in Pathfinder 2e Project | World Anvil

Titus I, Emperor of Setica

Very few could have imagined that the once numerous colonies of the Setican continent could ever be united under a single banner. However, this dream was turned into a reality by one man, a revolutionary and politician who came to the continent as a prisoner of political nature and was doomed for execution.Titus I, original name unknown, first arrived to the continent aboard the prison ship "Remorse" in 1718. He was made into a political prisoner after protesting the horrors of the New World by attempting to promote pamphlets and records the abuses that the Aedrian Empire had been doing throughout their territories. Titus arrived at Riabella and was immediately set to work up river at the Silver mines at the Thundering Peaks, where he suffered starvation, beatings, and even witnessing the execution of many of his fellow workers for the spreading of anti-Aedrian propaganda. He would eventually gain his freedom when the Aedrian Empire attempted to expand its many unconnected missionary outposts through military conquest and he was brought on a military support grunt. During this time, Titus was granted two field promotions after officers were killed in the field and he eventually reached the rank of Lance Corporal. During this time, he would continue attempting to spread propaganda against the Aedrian Empire and was eventually arrested for attempted desertion, being sent to Stormbridge Prison. While in Prison, he would eventually gain contacts with various revolutionary leaders as well as their spies who helped deliver messages. Having been in the military, Titus quickly became the voice of reason and eventually was determined to be leader by the various groups, who met regularly in prison to discuss plans against the Aedrian Empire. He would eventually gain his freedom during the First Battle of Riabella, where he assassinated the warden of the prison before convincing most of the guards to join their cause rather than die at their hands. The move became known as the Miracle at Stormbridge and Titus quickly earned favor amongst the many revolutionaries for his tactical brilliance.Over the next decade, Titus I would fight over all the Setican Colonies, liberating them one by one before defeating the weakened Aedrian forces for the final time at the Battle of Silver Crossing, where he was recognized unofficially as the Emperor of Setica by the officers there and made the claim official two days later in Riabella Cathedral. His is remembered as the Father of the Nation, the Freedom Fighter, and the God-Ordaned Leader.Very few could have imagined that the once numerous colonies of the Setican continent could ever be united under a single banner.
