Order of the Sacred Crystal
This order of paladins was composed mostly of dwarves though not to the exclusion of other races. The order's holy mission was to bring light to the darkness beneath the mountains, and they crafted Pelor's Rising Sun in furtherance of that goal since the darkness wanted a fight.
History
The Order of the Sacred Crystal was originally founded in the mountain settlement of Ironheart. While dwarves dwelt there for centuries before the rise of the order, they were often plagued by vile creatures that emerged from the caverns in the mountain, some born of the inner fire and others children of darkness. The priests of the sun were the primary defenders of the settlement, which prospered under their protection and was renamed Sunhaven in their honor. The order itself placed priority on spreading the light of Pelor to any dark place as a protection for the good and the living.
