The Scarlets
"The metro was delayed for an hour and a half while FCA soldiers and powersuits swarmed along either side of the train to the incident-site up ahead. One of the passengers openly mused it must have been a 'Scarlet', and was kind enough to explain to me who they were when I asked about it (much to my escort's embarrasment). As it turns out, not everybody on Falias is happy about living under a military dictatorship, and one of the loudest voices of this displeasure is an underground activist group of angry workers and disillusioned war-veterans, responsible for activism ranging from leaflet-campaigns and charitable fundraising to arson and occasionally gunning down military officials in daylight. The stance of the FUC (and of my escort) pins them as being terrorists, pure and simple, and holds them responsible crimes that took the lives of many innocent bystanders, such as the one occuring down the line. Apparently."
"WE HAD NOTHING BUT OUR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD, AND YOU TOOK THOSE TOO."
Structure
Scarlet organisation and hierarchy are entirely ad-hoc, with individual cells operating almost completely independantly (and sometimes in conflict) with oneanother.
Culture
The Scarlets are at their core a collective of activists and revolutionists who believe that outright insurgency is the only opion left to them to dismantle the stratocratic structures of the FUC, with each individual and each cell having their own ideas and interpretations on what methods and to what lengths they need to go to in order to achieve their goals. Many adopt cultural and social mores inspired from the Helium Co-Operatives (who publically dissavow any connection with the Scarlets), and consider the Union's diplomatic approach towards the FUC to be insufficient at best and condonement at worst.
Assets
The exact number and composition of the Scarlet's membership and assets are currently unknown, due to the clandestine nature of the organisation. Surveying by FUC officials claims an aproximate of ten to fifteen thousand potential members, with limited but widespread access to military-grade arms, vehicles and explosives.
