Shimmerwell

Shimmerwell is a small and recent (100 years) semi-village in the middle of the Sealance Desolation, built next to the entrance of one of the biggest silver mines of the region.
Owned by Joseph Silverhand, it is not really a place worthy of note. It houses the 60 miners and c.a 10 guards employed by Joseph Silverhand and their families.
Shimmerwell has one small trade post, little more than a wooden platform, where supplies frombigger town arrive once a week, mainly jerky meat and easily preservable food, The same caravan leaves Shimmerwell towards Sidewind, with silver ore loaded from the warehouse and headed towards the Silverhand workshops in town. Next to the trade post there is a water well, a simple dug-in circular structure, and the wooden warehouse where the silver ore is stored. The wounded are tended to in the guardhouse (in more practical ways than in Luciera's temples), an L shaped building connected to the warehouse, built in yellow stone at ground floor and pale wood at the first and last story, in the style of Sidewind. Other than housing guards and treating the sick and wounded, there are some rooms that belong to Joseph, who uses these together with his servants when visiting

The houses of the workers are built of light materials, mainly pale wood typical of this region and thatch, but thanks to the location of the village, behind a curve and in an opening in a canyon, they are safe from the strong winds that blow in the canyons. Nonetheless, Shimmerwell is on the main road that connects upper Sealance to Dustyplain, to the south.

Near the village, not even 10 minutes from the central trade post, a hole in the canyon wall signals the entrance to the silver mine. Close to it, a slim staircase leads up to the top of the canyon, where a small chapel to Luciera and Eldoneed is built in light-gray stone (collected in the mines below). The chapel itself is a small cylindrical building with one rather large column inside, and two alcoves carved in two opposite sides of the column, at different height The higher one holds the pyramidal holy symbol of Luciera, while the lower one houses a small pastoral statue of Eldoneed.
