Sealance Desolation

Sealance Desolation is the name given to the strip of land that extends from Sidewindand the sputhern edge of the Sealance steppe all the way to the Dustyplain mountains.
Smaller than the nearby steppe, the Sealance Desolation is a progressively hilly and rocky semi-arid region with very few trees and dry, shrub-like and succulent vegetation. It is also characterized by rock formations that form canyon-like structures, especially closer to the southern mountain range. These canyons are the results of the erosion of rivers that have long dried, leaving behind this labyrinthine pattern of gorges between and within the hills.
In its northern borders, the Sealance Desolation is marked by a slight rise in terrain, that goes from the completely flat of the steppe to more hilly and irregular ground. The climate is dry all throughout the year, with some very welcome and very irregular rains during the winter months, which are still mostly dry but cold.
