Amalan Confederacy
The Amalan Confederacy is a confederacy of tribes from the peninsula of Amala who united to fight off the Shenrian Empire. The Amalan Confederacy has a population of 45,000,000.
International Relations
The Amalan Confederacy is a sworn enemy of the Shenrian Empire, and has recently signed an armistice with them after fighting a vicious defensive war against them. The Amalan Confederacy joined the Imperial Coalition in 871 after their enemy, the Shenrian Empire joined the opposing Free Nations Alliance. The Amalan Confederacy's joining into the Imperial Coalition gives other imperial powers a foothold in the far east of Sundra, and a place to launch a potential invasion of the Shenrian Empire.Culture
The Amalan Confederacy has a somewhat ancient and tribal feeling culture, although this does not mean that they aren't using modern technology. The Amalan Confederacy has their own religion, and it is centered around shamanism and natural spirits, and the gods are usually legendary animals such as whales, seals, fish, Sea Serpents and sea dragons, bears, sharks, orca whales, mammoths, hallon, snakes, and many other animals. Many holy sites are at the top of the tall, steep mountains found in their homeland. The ocean and it's huge monsters are also very important to the Amalan people, as much of their food comes from fishing. Their art is highly complex and symbolic, and is always drawn from a flat side view. This art is often carved into totems, wood, cliffs, and stones. They also have an ancient glyph-based writing system. Although this writing system has fallen out of common use, it is still commonly understood and used for design, art, and religious symbolism. Their art somewhat resembles mayan/northwest coast art.architecture
Amalan architecture is mainly built from massive logs and many have foundations of solid stone. They build great longhouses with sloped roofs to keep out the heavy rainfall of Amala. Their smaller houses are still made out of wood, just less massive.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
