Jama-Kaia Settlement in Pangorio | World Anvil

Jama-Kaia

"Welcome To Jama-Kaia. Our town may be small but we are reknowned for the finest of sea tournaments, our Annual Shark-Hunting tournament," a dockmaster said as he greeted passengers stepping off the ship Wavecrusher.   "Hey, Bartol," a dockhand shouted, "don't forget to tell 'em 'bout Ja-Kai Paradise! Best drink t' ever be drunk!"   Grumbling under his breath, the dockmaster gave the passengers an even bigger smile and waved towards the land end of the dock.   "Yes, Ja-Kai Paradise is as reknowned as our tournament. Come, let me get you all on your way to your bungalows."
Jama-Kaia is a human seaport town on the eastern shore of the Haven Sea. It is a town of two parts: the main town on shore called Jama and a tiny island off-shore called Kaia. A bridge some fifty feet long connects the two. Kaia holds the town's main port and many bungalows. The weather is always warm no matter the season while the rugged hills are too sparse to support large and dangerous creatures. They do, however, support thornberries that produce a wonderful juice that is used in the reknowned drink, Ja-Kai Paradise. Its a favorite place for merchants and the well-to-do of Swampshoal Point to enjoy themselves.

Jama-Kaia citizens live on the mainland in Jama and spend their evenings on Kaia at Darro's Tiki Tavern. Darro's is more than just an outdoor tavern, he has a roofed over barbeque pit and grill where the catches of the day can be cooked. With no cellar, Darro has a sturdy built above ground storehouse to keep his various spirits safely locked away.   Jama-Kaia is ruled by an elder chosen by all its senior citizens to see to affairs that affect the whole town. Any troubles or other business is to be settled by those involved. When pirates or the sea-devils come calling, it is up to the stout-hearted citizens, and shark-hunters, to defend the town.

Would love to know more about the drink and how it is crafted not to mention the Shark-Hunting and more about the tavern.
