Worship of the Fae Goddess

Mind Stone Mage/Grand Mother Superior The Mind Stone Mage is the highest authority in the religion. She is the Mother Superior of the Mind Stone Temple. The Mind Stone Mage is often chosen by her piers or on rare occasions, directly by the Queen of the Fae, just like if a successor has not been chosen, the Mind Stone mage will choose the next Queen of the Fae. However, both of these cases, are very rare and have only happened a handful of times.   The Mind Stone Mage's uniform is identical to the ones of Mother Superiors with a three-tier veil in the style of Mind Stone Temple Nuns and wears a golden crown.   Mother Superiors   The Mother Superiors run the different temples and abbeys. They lead the various ceremonies, festivals, and daily routines in the temples. Depending on the role of their Order, they will serve as principals in schools, Chief Nurse, etc. They have full authority over their temple and abbeys.   Mother Superiors that run the temple in the country's capital are seen as higher in rank and when needed will serve as a religious advisor to the ruler of the said country as well on Fae matters. Their influence greatly varies based on the concentration of Fae in the country, but there are at least two temples in every country, and thus there is a national Mother Superior everywhere save for Riviera. Their official title is called "Mother Superior of [country]".   A Mother Superior's headdress in their uniform will vary based on the Order they belong to. However, all Mother superiors will have a three tiered veil to show their rank.   Nuns   The various nuns that occupy the temples have all taken their vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience to the Fae Goddess. They participate in religious ceremonies, upkeep their temples, and various other roles based on the order that they belong to. Nuns will always be attached to a temple, going through an official transfer if they wish to move (like to the Mind Stone Temple for example) which can take months. However, they are allowed to move freely for work, visit family, or even in few cases serve in Dynem's army. As the religion itself if tied in it's basic loyalty to Dynem Wood and the Fae people, nuns cannot serve in other armies than Dynem Wood's.   A nun's headdress in their uniform will depend on the order they are apart of but will have a simple single tiered veil.   Senior sisters hold a rank above their younger counterparts and serve as teachers in the temples and run the initiate program of prospective nuns who have not taken their vows yet. To become a Senior Sister you must have been a nun for at least ten years and go through a series of tests to become a Senior Sister.   A Senior Sister's headdress in their uniform will depend on the order they are apart of but will have a two tiered veil.   Initiates   Initiates are the newcomers, young Fae women who have yet to take their permanent vows. They train under Senior Sisters until they are ready.

Orders

Different Orders of Nuns will serve different roles in society.   Mind Stone Temple   Technically the Nuns of the Mind Stone Temple are their own Order. Their role is to serve as teachers and guardians of the Mind Stone.   Order of Solise   The of Solise Nuns, named after it's founder, run various magical schools around Dynem Wood and in concentrated Fae communities in Pan Ocea and Mojave.

Divine Origins

The Worship of the Fae Goddess as been rooted in Fae culture ever since the creation of the Fae themselves.

Worship

Fae's worship is fairly vague in its traditions. The Fae people will regularly pray to the Goddess on their own when she is needed and it is not uncommon for a small figurine or statue of Fae to be present in households. In the Mind Temple, the protective spells that protect the Mind Stone are in itself a monthly ritual.

Priesthood

The Guardian of the Mind Stone and the Queen of the Fae serve as the religious authority of the faith. The temples of the Fae Goddess, as well as the Mind Temple, are full of nuns that dedicate their lives to the worship of Fae. The nuns themselves are always Fae or Fae hybrids.
