The Sovereignty Council - Tarsakh 1374

General Summary

The time was nigh. Members of the council of The Eternal Sovereignty of the Luminescent Void gathered at the The Dusk Chapel to give honor to their Sovereign, Nihilus Eventide.   Upkeep Reviewing kingdom documents, stability of The Sovereignty was deemed strong with no unrest present, resulting in an increase of funds. The council ensured their citizens had adequate resources to sustain their quality of life without taking on any negative consequence to the kingdom at large.   Edicts The Sovereign, disappointed in the rather long absence of his Warden, Duurk Mordon, removed him and replaced him with a Juju Zombie Dire Bear that the council deemed fit to name Carnage. Grud spoke up and declared, “Make more food for army!” And so a farm and a fishery were added to reduce kingdom consumption. An additional wall was built on the west side of the city and a house in Hunter's Glen for the stablehands. The council traveled to The Crevasse to speak with the Hobgoblins about recruiting a certain beast for The Sovereignty army. Malgrim was reminded of all the benefits of being loyal to the Sovereign and decided it was in his best interest to hand over the now matured Guulvorg. Grud, not understanding how hard it would be to spell, decided to name it Madh Amaz. Returning to the temple, relations with Warhaven were improved with Cloev signing the Haven’s Accord.   Income The Sovereign and the Warmaster added personal funds to the treasury and taxes were collected, increasing kingdom funds to a sizable sum.   Event Near the end of their time in council, a tentative knock on the doors was heard. A nervous acolyte immediately prostrated themselves and apologized for the interruption. They brought information about a potential smuggling ring in West Haven Haven. The Sovereign and his council decided to make their way to the docks and camp out till 2:00am when a boat quietly docked and men started unloading crates.   Nihilus and Diavolo, disguised as homeless citizens, attempted to gain some information before Grud and Cloev made quick work of the smugglers. A mage, appearing from below deck of the ship, attempted to burn the evidence but was captured. Nihilus promised not to kill her if she took them to her boss. Glin Kerersk was surprised to find the Sovereign at the location of his counterfeit mint but agreed to remove any of his fake coin from West Haven in exchange for his life. The Sovereign, satisfied with his newly acquired smuggling ring, promised to provide a better location and more resources for Glin to expand the enterprise. Any negative consequences to the kingdom were thus avoided.
