The Lazarus Forest
On the Lazarus Forest's flora and fauna, its known origin and current condition
A far as modern understanding and knowledge goes, the Lazarus forest started growning as apart of the many strange unnatural happenings after the collision. It borders the north tip of the fragmented divide and the scar of Dreadmouth. Whatever energies and magics that ooze from this wound of our world, has since become the nutrition of the forests roots making it grow and move in unexpected often surprising ways.
The deeper you enter the forest the more fungal the bark of the trees and mush of the undergrowth become, giving way for strange creatures that harbour within. it is reported that it becomes completely dark in some deep areas of the woods, as the trees form cavern like structures that block of out any sunlight. As with most of the regions around the fragmented divide, old structures and ruins of the past is entangled by the forests growth in some way or form, becoming the target of many daring explorers.
Certain orc tribes live among the trees, often near or around ruins or rivers, with stranger creatures like the Vegapygmy having been seen once or twice in the darker areas.
Some instances of orc tribes and other humanoid sapient creatures, have been reported within the veil of thick trunks and sharp leaves. But like most of life within and around the forest, these are as well slowly dissipating, as the place is becoming more and more inhospitable.
