Arkus marched his legion to Opal, knowing that there would be little resistance along the way.

As they approached Opal, there was no resistance. It was a short discussion, ending with Ibrahim DeHaemer declaring Opal an independent state and swearing vassalage to Arkus. Opal would become his staging point for his second attempt to capture Bastion. With the economy of Opal added to his empire, he was able to equip his army better than before.
