Norbury
Norbury isn't native to Pallo, but technically some of its soil does exist here, now.
Norbury is a kingdom from a distant planet called Gorund. It is a kingdom renowned for its naval prowess. It conquered the other nations on the Ibexian peninsula up to the natural defense of the Brigalter mountains.
While the invention of black powder weapons was far from theirs, a few Norburian engineers have greatly enhanced their lethality. This advantage, coupled with their national spirit and focus on engineering, is what made their naval and martial conquest so successful. While not undefeated, their losses are few and far between.

Unfortunately this has been used by Norbury nationalists to reinforce their horrific beliefs. Xenophobia and fundamentalist beliefs have become frieghteningly commonplace over the past century. This has caused some intense tension with many nations, and leaving its smaller neighbors nervous. While the current king has no interest in expanding the borders beyond the mountains, or across the seas, it would not take much to tip the nation to war.
Structure
The historic region of Norbury is controlled by the royal family. There are 8 duchies who serve the king. Each duke has divided their fiefs differently, but each is managed by a lord. Cities and large towns each have their own governor and a small council. The governors of those towns and cities are beholded to the lord of their fief, mostly providing soldiers and sailors for conflicts, but also periodically conscripted to engineering or relief projects.
Religion
In the last hundred years, the kings of Norbury have pushed to eradicate other religions from Norbury. This has been done through conversion, forced eviction, relocation, deportation, and, under the current king, even execution.
Agriculture & Industry
Being renowned for naval prowess means that many of their industries are focused on the production of massive ships. There are also many metal and precious gem mines. Their prized mine is a large platinum mine. It is used for elite or royal armaments or regalia.
Mythology & Lore
Dominus provided wisdom and healing to the masses. He was killed for opposing the emperor. His final blessing was "The chosen of God will prevail: none can undermine them. For He has nought but love for them and they will be salvation." There has been debate on the interpretation of "chosen," but Norburian's have come to believe that they are the chosen.
Divine Origins
Dominian was founded around the teachings of Dominus and the belief that he was the adopted son of God.
Cosmological Views
God created Gorund, then the rest of the universe. Satisfied with the home He created, He made the animals and plants. Satisfied with the practice He got making everything else, He perfected man.
