Nepi Myth in Pallo | World Anvil

Nepi

The Silent One

Gods act in mysterious ways. They impart blessings and power on their followers from a distance, frequently without a word: their strength is felt through emotion, the weave, or vague auspices. Nepi, however, is slightly more direct. Only slightly.   When people first reached out to her for guidance, they imparted their own intents and thoughts on her silence. Little did they realize that she was responding, but in a subtle way. True acolytes of Nepi understand that she speaks through emotion. When asked for guidance, she delivers a rather nuanced reply based on her godly knowledge, but one that still requires the recipient to, themselves, have wisdom.

Variations & Mutation

Nepi on Pallo

Nepi, the Silent One, is followed as the God of wisdom, insight, and patience. It is said she descended onto Pallo and began a deep meditation. Her consciousness and power exist within Mokusdin, but her corporeal form has petrified over the millenia into a majestic mountain range.
Peoples far and wide climb her heights - at her resting place on Amana - to ask for assistance. While her answers are primarily still simply weal, woe, or both, she does periodically provide a deeper answer. It's interpretation is up to the recipient, though, as it is not verbal or pictoral, but emotional.
