Liana

The de facto leader of a shoot of Oddbasil. named after the word liana, which is a long-stemmed, woody vine that is rooted in the soil at ground level and uses trees, as well as other means of vertical support, to climb up to the canopy in search of direct sunlight. It is their job to use the wisdom they have gained over time to protect Oddbasil which, in turn, protects the members of their shoot.

Duties

Protect the shoot

The Liana is responsible for maintaining and observing the health of the shoot. The Liana must delegate some tasks to members of the shoot to help sustain it. It is also imperative that the Liana check in on the health of the other shoots through Oddbasil to be aware of any threats.
Outside of this, there are no other duties for the Liana.

• Assess the health of the shoot
• Perform daily sustaining rituals such as watering and mending
• Check in on the health of other shoots
• Maintain health of Dryad Buds
