Delila Myth in Pallo | World Anvil

Delila

It is rare for a champion to arise for a god like Yrmudoi. But if ever there was a person who could be, it was Delila.
-Survivor of the Purge

Summary

Delila was a cleric. She devoted her life to her temple's hoard, collecting treasure to add to it and supporting those within her temple. As a young woman, she was brought along with her parents to Drakenholt as part of her training as a future draconi. During her stay, Yrmudoi made a rare appearance. As she lay cowering at the top of Drakentur while the Drakriddare prepared to receive mandate, Yrmudoi imparted purpose on Delila and left. As she descended the tower, the Drakriddare asked of her what Yrmudoi mandated. Her only reply, given with a far off stare, was "agent of death."

Her already impressive healing powers were amplified further. At first, she was unsure why she was chosen as a servant of Yrmudoi, but she figured it had to do with how she treated the terminal and wounded. In time, she discovered the extent of her powers. She was given the chance to judge souls, and offer a chance at cleansing. She was also granted the ability to ferry souls to Yrmudoi and grant them a final chance to say goodbye to loved ones. This made her especially beloved by those who lost a loved one abruptly.

She is one of two Deific Heroes whose original name is known: Charron Viemort.
