Professor Jonas Fogg
Professor Jonas Fogg is a renowned medical researcher and the head of the Jonas Fogg Medical College at North Town University. He has a reputation for researching medicine that is not sanctioned for general knowledge and has authored a restricted text entitled Fogg's Restricted Compendium of Interplanar Maladies, which explores cursed versions of regular diseases resulting from interplanar interference. Access to this book is strictly limited, and authorisation must be granted by specific individuals or organisations.
Fogg is extremely old and, although he wears a meagre disguise to pass himself off as an elf, he is actually a drow. He has pale rubbery skin resembling that of a maggot and the tips of his ears are tinted purple, as is common among drow. Like many drow, Fogg is secretly a devout follower of Panopticon, the Eyes and Arms. He is committed to permanently imprisoning Divs, and he runs a hidden Judgement Chamber at the centre of the four college buildings, which he claims is used to incarcerate Divs and prevent their corrupt essence from unleashing further harm on the world. In his view, Divs are cut off from the planes they were summoned from, and their corrupt essence remains on the material plane, leading to the spawning of more Divs. For Fogg, the breakable nature of gem prisons is a concern, especially for elves and drow like himself, who have longer lifespans, making the Judgement Chamber a more permanent solution to the Div problem.

Although Fogg's advanced age may account for his use of a wheelchair on its own, it is also possible that he had been immobile for an extended period of time. When Connie Furr examined Fogg's body with the All-Seeing Eye, she discovered that his internal organs were heavily scarred by burns that had not reached the surface of his skin, indicating that the burns originated from inside his body, causing damage from within. As Fogg is of an age to have witnessed and survived the most recent apocalypse, this finding raises the possibility that these apocalyptic events may somehow originate from the internal organs, particularly the heart. It is possible, therefore, that the injuries to Fogg's organs from the burns could be a contributing factor to his reliance on a wheelchair.
