Granny Ginger
Anabelle Qita (a.k.a. Granny Ginger)
"When I was hearing the voices of Tybalt and had questions, she knew most of the answers. But I wasn’t allowed to talk to anyone about it. So pretend I didn’t say that."Tito tells Connie Furr about Granny Ginger.Annabelle Qita, more commonly known as Ginger or Granny Ginger, is an orphanage mistress on 33 Troubledown Lane, which is the level just underground where many Beastfolk live. A former oracle of the Prince of Orphans and author of The Prince's Yarns (credited as "Little Ginger Annie"), Granny Ginger provides a 'Home for Wayward Orphans' and mentors each new Tybist oracle that for the past sixty five years or so has been selected from orphans as this particular orphanage. At one time, Granny Ginger was an informant for the illicit Undergazette newspaper, although it is uncertain whether she still is.

Personal history
Childhood
Orphaned as a baby, Ginger (nicknamed Little Ginger Annie) grew up in the orphanage that she now works in.As she got older, she took on a protective older sister role to the younger children, and at around five or six she became the Oracle of Tybalt, the Prince of Orphans, which she remained until she reached adulthood. During this time, she wrote a collection of stories in a homemade scrapbook entitled The Prince's Yarns.
The nature of the Tybist Oracle is that they are always a child, which means that, once the oracle ages out of the role, they lose their oracular connection to Tybalt. This loss of connection and powers can provoke a variety of responses, but Ginger herself seemingly viewed it as a natural progression.
Adulthood
As she aged out of her oracular role, Ginger became a Cleric of Tybalt, working in the orphanage and then eventually taking it over, all the while mentoring each new Tybist Oracle (including Tito), to varying results. Ever since Little Ginger Annie, the Prince of Orphan's oracle has always been one of Granny Ginger's orphans. She is very careful to teach the children not to talk about unsanctioned deities in the presence of anyone else. When she became old enough to start going gray, the kids at the orphanage started addressing her as Granny Ginger. This was originally a misunderstanding. Since Ginger's real name is Annabelle, some of her friends her own age called her Ginger Annie. The small children misheard this as Granny Ginger and the nickname stuck. All the local businesses and shop owners that she buys groceries and children’s clothes and bedsheets from know her as Ginger. Granny Ginger remained very devoutedly in her cleric role to the point of barely leaving the orphanage and has gone her entire life only ever knowing this building and the dozen streets around it. She has seen the street change from higher up and sunnier and brighter and pleasanter into a sunken more cramped lane. She and her orphanage have been the one unchanging thing in this everchanging streetscape for as long as anyone else who lives around here can remember.
