Dragonkind

The Dragonkind are a fierce people, with a strong muscular build that is only rivaled by their ancient ally, the Orcs. Often covered with draconic scales, these beasts have natural resistance against some elements. They are known to have great intelligence, and are often drawn in by the allure of shiny treasures and cozy resting places. Some use this to claim Dragonkind are nothing but greedy sloths, but quite a few of them can be generous and physically outgoing. While many subraces speak different languages than eachother, Dragonkind of all creeds are united by the Draconic language.
The origins of their race are unknown, but their connection to Dragons is undeniable. Many have theorized about magical enchantments upon dragon worshipers, mortal races prolonged proximity to dragons, mating with dragons (though the question of ‘How?’ is often used against this one), disfigured offspring, or even that they’re simply a unique creatures created by the Gods to be similar. Four distinct subraces have appeared for the Dragonkind, all of which are quite different in appearance.

Subraces

There are four Dragonkind sub-races.
The Chromatic Dragonkind: The Chromatic Dragonkind] have a scaled skin of one of the four Chromatic Dragon colors (Black, Blue, Green, Red, or White). They are naturally atuned to magic, and have an affinity for arcane, elemental and infernal magic. They are typically cruel and very strict beings, representing that of the evil chromatic dragons, whom are creatures of chaos and greed. The Chromatic Legion is the nation ruled by the Chromatic Dragonkind, a tyrannical kingdom ruled by a warlord who takes power by sheer strength and military might.
The Grey Dragonkind: The Grey Dragonkind, or Greyscales, are that of a greyed-scale hide. Their scales are not as strong as their chromatic or metallic cousins, and their height is not as impressive, but their intelligence and ingenuity is often considered greater. Most Grey Dragonkind are a part of The Dragonkind Confederacy, a peaceful nation ruled by both the Grey and Reptilian Dragonkind.
The Metallic Dragonkind: The Metallic Dragonkind are a contrast to the Chromatic. While the Chromatic Dragonkind reflect that of the Chromatic Dragons, the Metallic Dragonkind reflect that of the good-aligned Metallic Dragons. These Dragonkind are often seen as reverent and good-aligned. Their scales are made of metal and are far more resistant to physical damage than any other race. The Empire of the Dragon is the nation ruled by the Metallic Dragonkind, and assisted the Orcs in The Great War with destruction of the oppressing and evil Human Kingdoms that had once spread throughout the land.
The Reptilian Dragonkind: The Reptilian Dragonkind, or Lizardfolk, are starkly different from the rest of their Dragonkind cousins in appearance. They are much thinner, but still bear the same height. They much more resemble that of an alligator or a large ground lizard rather than a Dragon, but their roots remain the same as the rest of the Dragonkind, nonetheless. Their skin often takes a shade of green, but they've been known to appear red, orange, white, brown or even a shade of blue on occasion. They are co-leaders of The Dragonkind Confederacy with the Grey Dragonkind.
