Fork

Played by Zack L.   A Changeling Rogue.

As Known by the Party

From Eberron , originally from Stormreach before they were both transplanted into Morrow with the others. When the party found themselves transported to Eberron, he expressed a passing understanding of the Jungles of Xen'Drik, expressing that traveler's to the jungle tended to pass through Stormreach, which sat on the northern coast of the continent. They were familiar with The Traveler's Curse, which made the jungles notoriously difficult to navigate.   Fork comes across as somewhat defensive about how others perceive them, whether right or wrong. They have become somewhat more outspoken since the group found themselves in Xen'Drik.   After the party's brief jaunt into the Shadowfel, Fork has been marked by the Raven Queen, bearing her symbol on the back of their right hand.

Their Own Past

Fork acknowledged that they've been forcing a form that they would describe as cautious, or wary, for several months, and one form or another for years, avoiding revealing their true form, to the point they no longer remembers what their original form looked like, or would look like as an adult.   Described the opinion of their kind in Eberron, or at least Khorvaire as demonized. "Mothers tell stories to their children to stay close in public, else people like me might steal them away. We're the monsters hiding in plain sight." They clearly are not terribly happy about this sentiment.   Fork has expressed that their mother regularly prayed to The Traveler, and has demonstrated an informal tendency to do so themselves.   They have admitted that they do not have an inherent gender or sex. Some tend to have a preference, they acknowledged, such as their mother, who predominantly stuck to a particular elven woman form. Fork expressed that he maintains the male human form "Wary" more as a precaution than a preference.   They seem to have embraced their familial worship of The Traveler in recent days, and apparently can channel some limited magic.

Known Forms

His Natural Form, a changeling with pale, metallic green hair. Fork acknowledges that he's not certain about his true form, and that this is a hodgepodge of how his parents looked, and so is as good as it gets at this point.   "Wary", a human form that Fork has predominantly taken. A scruffy, unremarkable human man.   Fyl, or "Serene", a half elf woman that appeared briefly when trying to interact with a symbol of The Traveler, and then more notably in the Xen'Drik underdark, when they found themselves the unexpected target of a newborn creature's affection. Pale skinned, with soft features; her notably gray hair unusual for someone that appears so young.   "Tricky", or "The Devil on Your Shoulder" as Fork's mother used to describe her, a tiefling woman that Fork briefly exemplified for Tilly, suggesting it's a form that she'd likely get along well with. Light purple skin, solid white eyes, and jet black hair in a braid similar to Fyl, when she can take the time to braid it.   A small, alabaster skinned elf woman, with her cloak large and white. Fork found it useful for scouting along The King's Road during Sunfall.   He demonstrated a variety of partial and temporary forms while they awaited the dawn in The Windlord's Tomb, including a human-sized Bulgey, a partially formed Brian (the wings were causing issues with his armor, and so he stopped mid-transformation), a Genasi like Wick, and an elven woman, which he described was the form his mother traditionally presented herself.   He transformed rapidly between a variety of forms that the party had never seen before while trying to interact with a symbol of The Traveler in the desert of Xen'Drik. An elf maiden with beautiful silver hair, a hulking orc, a strange pale humanoid with tentacles sprouting from its back, a small half elf woman with a kind expression, a sullen looking half orc man with short black hair, a small human woman with short red hair and angry blue eyes, an arrogant looking elf man, along with a form he'd previously described as his mother, and a resentful looking human man.

Equipment

A Rapier   Liar's Edge   Studded Leather Armor   A cloak. Its appearance can apparently change along with their form.   A Light Crossbow   A Shield   A Pair of Goggles of Night

Style of Fighting

Initially keeping towards the back and relying on the crossbow, Fork has taken to being more of a skirmisher and frontline fighter, capable of unusually deadly strikes with their rapier. Has recently taken to learning to wield a shield, and gifted with limited magical ability that they insist comes from The Traveler.
