Session 3 - 14th of Thellonde Setday 948 ACW

General Summary

The team made their way into the sinkhole, finding the broken down estate and the deeper hole next to it. They walk through the estate and end up taking out a giant spider. They then made it down into the deeper hole and started exploring the cave proper, soon finding a deeper hole and three kobolds. They spoke to the three creatures who identified themselves as Thunder, Clap, and Scream. After getting a greater healing potion from the Kobolds for 15 gold the group found out from them that a secondary exit existed just a way up the internal river. The kobolds promised to keep the ropes they had set up for themselves and made their way out with their treasure. 
Farther into the cave the team came up to the doors leading to the chamber holding the spear. The door was trapped and while Kal worked to disable it Ramhiel looked over the scene depicted on the door, recognizing it as a scene of Cirdor Orina. Inside the hallway they found a trap which Kal set off, the elf then opened the final door revealing a Bone Naga protecting the spear. The Naga talked with Kal and told him that he need to prove his worth to take the spear, Kal told the rest of the party to stand with him and shot at the Naga, who then said that their trial had been chosen. They fought the Naga and won and headed into the chamber it had been living in. The group opened the tomb that the spear had been placed in setting off multiple traps in the process but was able to get the spear and the gold that it had been sequestered with. 
The team then found the ropes left for them by the Kobolds and made their way out of the cave, stealthing their way out of the area tacking care to not alert Holme to their presence. They followed the Kobolds tracks and were able to find them by the end of the day tucked into some bushes. The group then worked out a deal to travel with the Kobolds, who were also planning on heading to the coast to find Malach the Destroyer and join him, who unknowing to the creatures had been killed just a week or two prior. The band was able to make it to the town of Crescentheart.
