Session 25 - 21st of Egnos Secday 948 ACW

General Summary

The group made their way back to the capital, and while there gave Azel an overview of what they found and got paid for their work. Adam then went to see Tanor, who told him what he had learned about the curse on Adam. He gave him a way to deal with the curse and told him he would be traveling to the desert to learn more, Tanor also told him that Hexan needed to cast a spell to release some of the magic building up in him.  That night Adam informed Hexan of what Tanor told him and Hexan promised to go out and cast a spell. He left for the forest and did not keep his promise. Adam also asked Fryer to cast remove curse on him and the spell was able to keep the spirit away for the evening.  In the morning the group talked to Kylin who informed them that she had found the location of the person making the phylacteries. They then teleported out to the Citadel of Knowledge and were met with the school's headmaster who upon seeing Hexan asked that once they finished their job with Doran that the group come back and help with a minor problem happening at the school. Hexan made no immediate promises.  They then made their way to the Forest of Valandres and began to trek to the estate. As they walked through the forest, Hexan was flooded with memories of his time spent in the forest and the oncoming estate. When they reached the estate and saw the burned down building Hexan became consumed with rage at seeing his former home destroyed. As they went through the building Adam noted that the magic within Hexan was becoming more chaotic and seemed to be fueled by his rage. The Fryer then left the building to send a message to Azel and update him on what was happening to Hexan. Inside the building, Hexan and Adam walked through and found a flesh golem with the face of Doran's father shambling around.  Fryer got a message back from Azel that told him to knock out Hexan and once awake to get him to cast high-level magic and release the chaos within him. Fryer then ran into the building after the others and found them making their way into the basement. From there Fryer and Adam enacted a plan to take Hexan out.  Adam made a clone as he unlocked the door at the bottom of the stairs, the clone then tried to knock out Hexan but was unsuccessful. The three then fought one another, with Adam and Fryer trying to safely knock out Hexan and Hexan trying to get past the two of them and find out who had destroyed the estate. They made it into the final room where Doran stood along with another flesh golem that held the face of his mother.  Adam then talked to Hexan, telling him what was going on and asking him to fight Doran and not his teammates. Hexan obliged and attacked Doran, who then told Hexan that he did not want to hurt him and Hexan said he felt the same. Doran then cast hold person on Hexan and Adam and told them not to try to stop him. He then teleported out of the building leaving Team 3 alone with the golems.  Fryer then cast cure wounds on Hexan and found that it didn't work as well as it should have.
