Session 23 - 16th of Egnos Secday 948 ACW
General Summary
Team 3 took the morning to speak with both of the lighthouse keepers and were able to find out from the nightwatchman that the ghosts did not exist and he was being paid off by two people who were searching the shipwreck and sea for something. The group then made a plan to watch where the two beings went, and while they waited Adam sent clones into the water to search the area, and Fryer and Hexan dressed up the other clones as ghosts. They learned from the clones that the shipwreck had nothing in it, but there were a few cave systems in the area under the water that looked like someone had been in and out of. Once night fell the group watched as the nightwatchman let the two beings out into the night and head down into the water, they then followed with Adam leading.
Once in the cave, the group was able to scare the beings and split them up, using Adam's ghost clones. While talking with the more frightened being they learned that the pair were looking for a crown of some sort and that they were working for someone called Kendra Fairden who worked out of Tarrin. The group then used their wand of locate object to find the crown, eventually finding it was being guarded by a manticore who was currently eating the second thief. They quickly killed the beast and found amongst the bodies and bones it had in its cave a decent amount of gold and the crown which the Fryer identified as a Psionic Crown. He also noted that it could hold a single gem, most likely one from a gemstone dragon.
They spent the night in the town and then headed out for Tarrin to see what they could learn about Kendra.
