Session 17 - 31st of Falonde 948 ACW Threday
General Summary
The party left the town of Yarrin after their night of revelry and continued west to the coast. While on the road Quinn began to make a Kobold-sized arm-mounted crossbow for Clap. Once they reach Erast they listened to fellow travelers complain about the long line to get in and once it was their turn the group watched as one of the guards had a conversation with the Kobolds as they seemed to know each other. Inside the town, they found the docks which had been closed for the night and learned from the harbormaster that one of the ships was being sent to the capital in the morning.
They then made their way over to the Tides Inn and met Captain Ulric Darkdraft and his first mate Cordena Flannagàin, who after finding out they were Collecters allowed them to travel on The Windcutter. The party then found their way to a room after dinner and Rowan told them that she had been having odd experiences during the past four full moons. The group sent out a few messages to people and learned that Rowan was attached to something called Moloch the Black Curse. The party decided to stay up with her and watch out for the shadow monster, but the Kobolds, Quinn, and Hobble Bobble all eventually fell asleep leaving Rowan and Rahmy alone. Around the middle of the night, Rowan's shadow took form and told them that they were Moloch, he was not Rowan's father, and she was not a pumpkin but a doorway. After talking with Moloch for a bit longer Rowan and Rahmy let the being go and got a few hours of sleep themselves.
In the morning they told the others in the group what was going on and then made their way to the ship, where Cordena showed them to the room they'd be staying in. It was also at this moment that the Kobolds realized what they were on. As the ship launched they called Yunus to them and when the odd man appeared they asked him what they knew about Moloch. Yunus told them that Moloch had been a general within Suraf's army during the Cosmic war and that a cult formed up around him trying to bring the being back after the war ended and cause darkness to fall onto the world. Yunus was under the impression that the cult had been driven out long ago before they could formulate a plan but given Rowan's state, he realized that was wrong. Yunus then left them with another riddle and then disappeared after they gave him a correct answer.
