Simia

Simia are said to be small chimp-like beings. There is no tales of them existing shipboard. Amongst themselves they use a form of sign language called handspeak due to it’s reliance on intricate hand motions. They are capable of human speech, but their voices are rough and gravely. Simian are creatures of action. To outsiders they seem sociable but hasty and excitable. they see deliberation as merely wasting opportunities.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Coarse dark fur covers their bodies except for their faces, hands, and feet. Their feet are possess opposable thumbs and capable of being used as ably as their hands. Simia habitually walk quadrupedally on the soles of their feet and their knuckles. The are capable of bipedal locomotion for short bursts.

Simia live in the canopy of the jungles of Alhargen

Simia consume various fruits, insects, and leaves that grow on the trees that they build their homes upon.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

They use metal only in tool where it is necessary. Overall they use wood and plant fiber ropes to build their homes high in the forest canopies. They forage or hunt for most of their food. Striving to live sustainably and in harmony with nature is of paramount importance to the Simia. Most Simia eschew human made objects due to humanity’s excessive fascination with metal and stone.
