Bau-Bau

The Bau-bau is an odd undead spirit that is created from the fears and nightmares of humans. It moves through the Foglands and can use this to enter past the Elan boundary into Orrus. The strange nature of this creature is that it can only enter Orrus though man-made closets or wardrobes. No one seems to be able to figure out why this limitation exists. When a Bau-bau is created, it begins in the Foglands and waits. As it feeds off of the fears of nearby humans, it's hunger grows.
When it grows, it becomes insatiable, the Bau-bau travels into rooms inhabited by humans in the dark and frightens individuals with it's horrific supernatural visage. This heightened and terrifying otherworldly fear typically kills those who see the Bau-bau as it feeds off of this terror. The Bau-bau does have the ability to interact with people and objects and has strong lanky limbs to choke and grasp. It utilizes these abilities to finish off individuals who do not succumb to the fear.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Bau-Bau is a tall and lanky spirit. It stands easily 8 to 10 feet tall on its two feet and it's arms are extremely long with spindly fingers. It stands hunched and its torso is gaunt and its skin sits tight on its ribs.
The creatures face is contorted and twisted and its mouth stands gaping with dozens of bent rotting teeth. Its eye sockets are empty and shrivels and the wiry strands of hair it has float and sway in the air.
It's great size should preclude it from moving through closet doors and wardrobes, but it has an ability to contort itself and bend in unnatural ways.
