Salisha Dynasty

The Salisha Dynasty was the first real power to rise up in Vohga after the fall of the Goblinoid Empire Voohgaa. The Dragonborn united quickly and were able to solidify their position on the Bodkfold. Although it did not retain all the territory it initially gained, the empire has stood ever since, with its capital Belunza as the seat of power.

The Salisha Dynasty is an empire with the Salisha family at its head, the ruler being titled the Erregea. The provinces are mostly autonomous, but local Herria, or provincial governors, are not permitted to raise armies or raise taxes without permission from the crown.

Instead, the local gendarmerie is ruled by Gerlaria, or warlords, in name of the Erregea.

Geography

Much of the heartland of the Salisha Dynasty is dominated by the Zatituz Heights. Throughout the mountain range there are various fertile vales, with temperate climates. Along the coast the land is much flatter, with large swathes of forest covering it. The seas bordering the Salisha Dynasty are calm and navigable, due to the proximity of other land masses. The North-Western region is an arid waste of cold winds, with little shelter from vegetation.

The North-Western wastes has almost nightly thunderstorms, attracted by the ferrous earth.

Climate

Like most of Vohga, the Salisha Dynasty enjoys short summers and harsh winters. However, unlike the frigid region of Skyvegr, the valleys inbetween the mountains of the Zatituz Heights provide a relief from the harsh climates nearer the coasts. This is due to the geothermal activity within the mountain range.

Lots of copper, tin, and iron.
