Career
Qualifications
In order to be able to properly syncronise the mechanisms of a clock to the timing of the local area, one has to have a firm grasp of arithmetic. Typically those who are clock makers are very well educated.
Career Progression
One typically begins with creating simple metronomes that allow for musical practise, then, upon mastery of crafting all forms of metronome, a breakdown of a singular portion of the thirty in the day. From there, it is expected that one would be able to create a mechanism for synchronising all portions of the day.
At this point, one is considered an Master Apprentice. They are now authorised to take on students of their own, albeit, only at the level of their Mastery.
It is possible for one to achieve Master Apprenticeship, never advance beyond that in title, but still be considered a Master. In the rare cases of those that volunteer to do so, they are granted secondary ranks, such as Mornaig Sal, for those who are studious during the day, and Ayatal Nas, those whom are more nocturnal.
For those that choose to advance beyond Apprenticeship, the options of creating a business taken to various locale.
In order to qualify to qualify as a Master, one has to have trained at least four Master apprentices, that in turn, have trained about four apprentices of their own.

"Clockmaking only really took off when one particular Clockmaker founded a guild, that established a new trade, and created a new appreciation for how much time people truly have to spend with one another. It also leads to hilarious situations involving missed dates anyway. They're still not to portable timepieces yet. They're focused on crafting time pieces that will be working, just as well now, as they will in five hundred years. Ah, but weather proofing, that's going to be an issue..."
