Alyari Springs

Life in Orliüm since the Brightening can be a grim and dangerous existence. Much of the Underdwellers' time and energy is spent on survival, and those above ground must protect themselves from powerful threats. However, there is a warren deep within the Sadriel Mountains that offers a reprieve from these worries, and people come from miles around just to experience a few hours of peace.   The town of Alyari Springs surrounds a collection of natural hot water pools deep within the mountains. The caverns are warm and comfortable, making them an inviting place to stay, and bioluminescent plants can be found everywhere. Those who live there have taken great care to keep the caves visually stunning, to the extent of considering the arrangements of their buildings and streets.   In the center of town are the springs themselves, and never a night goes by without someone bathing in them. It is rumored that the pools have magical properties that instill a sense of relaxation and joy, though others simply think that it's the same as getting proper rest for a change. Certainly one comes out of the springs feeling cleaner and more rejuvenated than they have likely felt for weeks. Even the people who live there claim they feel refreshed, even while access to the pools is normal for them.   Bathing in the springs is only one of several services offered. Many of the residents of Alyari Springs are trained wide variety of services; massage, health and beauty, and other such pampering is readily available. Personal companionship, too, is often provided at these pleasure houses. Many artisans and performers have made their homes here, taking advantage of the frequency of visitors' desire for entertainment, and on the west side of the pool stands the Gemstone Amphitheater. Fine dining establishments and luxurious inns are scattered throughout the town.
